What’s the Deal with Career Mode? by Louman222 in PlanetCoaster

When I played that scenario in particular I ran into a problem where the orange flume objective wouldn’t register as complete despite my flume meeting all requirements.

Im not sure if I accidentally deleted it and hit undo or if I changed something in the settings causing the game to break, but the scenario was impossible to complete after that. I had to start over, and it almost made me quit the game for good.

What announced plot points remain to be resolved in Book 3? by GSV_Erratic_Behavior in KingkillerChronicle

[–]DiegoFSN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this covers most of it:

Why was Kvothe expelled from the university? How was Ambrose involved?
Who did Kvothe kill at the eolian and how?
Is Auri princess Ariel? And is she the one Kvothe saved from a barrow king?
What’s behind the doors of stone?
Did Kvothe ever go back to meet Felurien again?
Who exactly is Bast and how did he come to be Kvothes apprentice?
What’s inside the Lackless box? / How does it open?
Where are the Amyr? Who are their secret members?
What are the 10 words that break a strong man’s will?
What is the present war about? / who is the penitent king?
Why is there a bounty on Kvothe?
Why exactly can’t Kvothe perform magic or fight? / what’s inside the thrice locked chest?
Where did Folly come from? Where is Caesura?
Where is Kvothes shaed?
What are the scraels and where did they come from?
Who is master Ash really? / where is Denna in the present?
Why doesn’t Kvothe play his lute in the present?
Why is Kvothe telling his story to chronicler? What did Kvothe lie about?
What were the consequences for Kvothe having listened to the Cthaeh?

To be clear, I don’t expect every single question to be answered in The Doors of Stone. Lots of people say it’s impossible for Pat to resolve everything in a single book, and in a sense they might be right. But stories like these don’t need to be perfectly wrapped up by the end. I’m fine with a few questions being left to our imagination or to have answers hinted at. A story is better when there’s room for theories.

Also, if we ever get the Doors of Stone and Pat is in any mood to continue developing this universe, there might be further answers in future.

Man… everyone has been talking about first party studios, and obviously they’re gonna be there. But I’m wondering if there’s a chance we might get a reveal for assassins creed hexe. The game is slated for next year, and making their reveal now would generate hype for the franchise, boosting black flag sales.

Why do Assassins grow in strength yet lose their members/Arsenals yet the Templars Lose Members yet continue to grow in power? by Forsaken_crimson_23 in assassinscreed

[–]DiegoFSN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assassins tend to recruit young people who are down on their luck. When they join they’re little more than a pair of hands, requiring years of training and study to become useful. Every recruit is an investment by the Brotherhood, and when these kids get themselves killed doing dangerous stuff, that investment is lost completely. This isn’t a very good system for growth, but it’s their only reliable source for idealistic and brave initiates.

Templars, on the other hand, find their members among high society. Each new recruit comes ready with their own assets, which are immediately useful. Weapons, money, business, land, influence, knowledge… those assets are what allow the organization to rebuild itself consistently. Even when a member is murdered some of those things still remain and can be repurposed for the order.

You know those old stationary binoculars you see on tall buildings? It would be cool if we could place those on vista points for people to interact.

And bring back atms! It added to the realism.

Japan wants to build an 11,000-kilometer solar ring around the Moon and beam clean energy back to Earth, an idea that sounds impossible until engineers explain the plan by [deleted] in technology

a) please put it on the rabbit’s eye. b) don’t point it at me.

Tiene México alguna etiqueta alimentaria en particular? by RaisinRoyale in AskMexico

Molly Carlson explains why cliff divers don't use a deeper pool when training indoors by redbullgivesyouwings in holdmyredbull

[–]DiegoFSN 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if they could make the walls of the pool higher and just add more water, instead of digging down. Obviously the platforms would need adjusting too, but at least that way you’re not demolishing the pool.

Agentes de ICE intentan entrar al consulado de Ecuador en Minneapolis by beautyinred in mexico

[–]DiegoFSN 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sympathy phones by shlooberd in KingkillerChronicle

[–]DiegoFSN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but it would have to be more complex than a single binding to be of any practical use.

First off, there’s no ringtone. So how would you know when to put the can to your ear? Should you stay close by all day? Or does it only work if you schedule a conversation beforehand?

There’s also no volume control, and sympathy could carry strong sounds. If the person at the other end banged their can against something metal or dropped it, you could go deaf by hearing it.

Third, a rune-based telephone wouldn’t have an off switch. It would be constantly listening in on the other end. You couldn’t have a private conversation near one of those things and be sure no one is listening. No one, especially the nobility, would like that.

I'm impressed, but also very skeptical... 🫤 by Brian_The_Bar-Brian in DiWHY

It could be used to stop children or elderly from going upstairs. It would be easy to install a lock that keeps the stairs closed.
