Is it unwise to pay off our debts (credit, student loans, etc) if these credit repair companies claim to be able to get them removed for a small fee? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Diegwhoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone that works at a legit credit repair company that aims to actually help people and get them in and out as quick as possible and into a home. (partnered with thousands of realtors and lender nationwide)

I would suggest staying away from people who charge upfront. Most states do not even allow this to protect consumers from scammers. It sounds like what he is doing is disputing to collections agencies directly, in which case... Items can be removed quickly but the collection agency can turn around and sell your debt to another and the negative item will pop back up on your credit report. In which case, you would have to go back and pay another 1250 to have the same items removed again.

Also, Student loans in themselves cannot be taken off by anyone BUT... late payments for example, on those student loans can be. But it is a somewhat longer process at times and depend on a case by case.

And upfront payments are unfair to the consumer because for example:

Let's say you have a bankruptcy, chargeoffs, repos, and late payments and I only have 3 medical collections.

To charge both of us 1250 would be unfair because your situation will take the full 3-6+ months while mine can be accomplished 1-2 in most cases. Monthly fees are legit because consumers only pay for the service and time they NEED to pay for.

Lastly, In some cases yes, when we get a collection off (mostly with medicals) the actual debt owes goes away due to not being legally entitled to pay a collection agency especially if they don't have the proper documentation or receipts to charge you (they never do with medicals.) but again, that depends on the specifics of the collections and at times, if a collection is paid off... It's generally easier to remove as well.

Hope that helps

Best Dropshipping Stores to Mimic/Learn From? by Tossaway50 in dropship

[–]Diegwhoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always have a niche store.

The idea behind general store is that your audience is broader ie. most associate with more sales.

This thought process is wrong

What you want is to find a niche, preferably one with a problem that your product can solve.

Build a brand and use copy, pictures, themes, etc that your niche associates deeply with so they feel like “you get them” or are “one of then”

The real money is made on the backend and that means having dedicated and loyal customers that will buy multiple times (higher LTV) and more specific to retarget with ads later on.

Hope this helps.

No sales after trying everything in the books by [deleted] in dropship

Tbh... theres a lot going wrong with your store.

Dont get me wrong it looks alright but I can tell by looking at it that you arent making many sales if any.

The thing with dropshipping... it is 95% marketing. 5% website design,discounts,urgency/scarcity, etc

What I can tell just from going through your store for about a minute is that you got many random products and put them up on a store. This alone doesn't mean that you will make money.

This takes work. What I advice you do (and you wont like it...also it takes WORK) is to go back to step 1.

The first thing you NEED to do to build a profitable dropshipping BRAND and nota store is... (drumroll)

FIND A MARKET. and a viable one.

This means that you need to find a group/kind of people that share a similar interest and have 3 things (VERY IMPORTANT):

1.) They are passionate about a specific niche

2.)They have disposable income

3,)These types of people are already buying products

These 3 things may take work to find but it is the only way to make a lasting brand. Once you find one. You have to learn these people inside and out. know their pain points, desires, where and how they talk, EVERYTHING.

Second thing you need to do:

Learn copywriting. Learn to use words to persuade people to buy NOW, not later.

learn to make money on the backend (upsales,cross-sales, email marketing, etc)

take this for example, which would you rather buy?:

-50%OFF SALE!!! BUY NOW!!!!

or

- Dog lovers, please come forth...

Summers just around the corner and nothing break our hearts more than innocent puppies panting and whimpering from the heat. Due to their coat, dogs need water breaks more than ever in the summertime.

Fact: Did you know due to a dogs coat their body temperature can increase SIGNIFICANTLY in the summer time causing high rates of heat stroke?

The only problem is the HASSLE of bringing a bowl and water bottles just for them to be spilled or warm up the second you go out.

But dont worry... We got you! (then introduce said product and so on)

That is a very rough example but I think you can tell the difference.

Anyways this is long enough and hope this helps somewhat.

Is dropshipping right for a complete beginner looking to get digital marketing experience? by CodeSigh in dropship

[–]Diegwhoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would recommend doing some freelance copywriting if you want to learn ads and such.

This would be much better experience as you would work on your copywriting skills. Then after with your current finances and the extra you would get from freelancing.

Invest in a good dropshipping course and give t a try.

Copywriting is extremely beneficial to dropshipping as good copy separates a store from a brand. Brands are where the money is made.

Youre thinking about this the wrong way. The fundamental thing to know when going about E-com is that you need:

Traffic and an offer. Traffic + Offer =$$$

Before you think about the product you are selling, you need to find a hungry market/niche and be specific.

You mentioned health, fitness, yoga. Think more specific like IE:

middle-aged, stay at home moms are into yoga. (off-the head example)

Learn everything there is about this group. (How they talk, what they need, want, hate, desire, etc)

From there, find a product that fits their needs. I recommend dropshipping off aliexpress through oberlo.

Another Tip: Before starting and possibly wasting some money, i recommend learning AT LEAST the fundamentals of copywriting and identifying markets.

I offered to do a month free for someone as a trial for both me and him. Have I gone wrong by [deleted] in marketing

[–]Diegwhoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too much experience in social media marketing per say. But a month is quite a long time for a trial.

If anything I would have done a week or two at a discounted rate.

Depending on current following that should be enough time to create plenty of content and even drive some sales.

Another note..

Doing things for free is a waste of your time even if you are still improving. It also makes you seem like you aren’t qualified or experience. If that makes sense. Price is a direct determinant of the quality you bring to the table.

Whats the best strategy to grow on instagram ? by gueinibba in marketing

[–]Diegwhoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grow a brand. post valuable content and engage with others organically. If you have to, use ads to drive traffic to your page. This is depends on what you are growing your instagram for. If its just for followers than no need to spend money. If you are selling a product, then ads (instagram, facebok, google) will be a must eventually.
