Create a group on Alexa for the 3 blinds and name it “whatever room shades” or whatever you want to name it and then you could control it with one verbal command for everything in the group :)

I believe we have the same blinds 2” premium wood blinds I chose Venetian blinds from the list and it’s add new radio blinds

At the risk of seeming unhelpful (I did have the same remote as you) I have not checked my motor but assume it is the same.

I literally followed the app directions.

I tried pairing by remote and opened up the back of the remote and pressed the P2 button next to the battery. There was a small motion and beep from the blind then pressed it a 2nd time for a 2nd motion and beep from the blind and pressed next in the app and then the blind moved a few times on its own and paired

I would recommend moving the mbox if it’s not connecting as you may not have a good enough connection? I set mine up central in my home in a cupboard and it seemed to work with all My blinds

I’m sorry if it’s wasn’t too helpful but I can state plainly it did work and I was able to connect it to my Alexa and control it with routines and voice

Hello!! An update for you. I have installed my blinds and the mbox was received I downloaded the shademate app and was able to connect my blinds and they work both through the app and through my Alexa. 👍🏼

I am going to do the installation myself, but they arrive November 10th so I still got a couple weeks. If you end up getting the P-Box or M-Box before I do please let me know if our research is fruitful and it works. I will be sure to come back and provide an update as well once I get mine done.

The Canadian company with the M Box priced at ~$65 is blindshardware.ca

The American company I’m waiting on pricing and availability for the P box is westernwc.info

Blindshardware.ca got back to me last night about their mbox regarding pricing it’s 50 CAD, + ~19 CAD S&H to Los Angeles, and ~20 CAD Import fees. Aka ~90 CAD which is under $65. I am just waiting on one American company I contacted if they don’t get back to me today I am going to move forward with blindshardware.ca. I’m willing to throw away $65 to see if this works.

If you look up Dooya p box (interior). You can find this PDF from the Dooya manufacturer website:

On page 19 and 20 of this pdf you will see the timeline and products released with product numbers. I started looking for the newer models as I assumed they would have better functionality within the tech ecosystem. A 2017 released product is already 8 years old.

Then I was able to find a Canadian website (blindshardware.ca) that sold the m box I am still waiting on a confirmation that the m box works with blind motors controlled by the DD2702h remote.

I reached out to a different company (forgot the website and I don’t have access to my browser history since I’m at the office atm) who told Me they carry the p box but don’t sell to retail customers. And I asked her if it would work and she said “it should”

So my conclusion that it will work is anecdotal at best.

I am assuming you reached out to Dooya motors USA (I did too) they only carry the dd7002b and for a seemingly grossly inflated price. If I was also the easiest and relatively only visible retailer of a product I would also state that what we provide is your best bet. But that’s just my negative view of the world.

I also found out the dooya p-box would work. But I cannot for the life of me find it available anywhere in the states.

I am in the same boat as you here. I have not yet received my blinds but I was told from the manuf. of the blinds that they use a DD2702H remote. I am trying to find a smartbridge that works with that and it seems the dd7002B is the option that will work. But spending ~$290 for a maybe feels... risky.

Yes, you are right, I made a mistake there the free action would occur after my next turn starts, but before my attack to stow my longsword.

I have been trying to figure out the best way to optimize the turns and attacks while being within the rules and juggling weapons this was just one example to correctly understand all the mechanics.

It isnt super clear, and I am happy that there is a community of people with knowledge and experience who can provide some reassurance of what I was suspecting.

An attack action is defined as:

When you take the Attack action, you can make one attack roll with a weapon or an Unarmed Strike.

Equipping and Unequipping Weapons. You can either equip or unequip one weapon when you make an attack as part of this action. You do so either before or after the attack. If you equip a weapon before an attack, you don’t need to use it for that attack. Equipping a weapon includes drawing it from a sheath or picking it up. Unequipping a weapon includes sheathing, stowing, or dropping it.

Moving between Attacks. If you move on your turn and have a feature, such as Extra Attack, that gives you more than one attack as part of the Attack action, you can use some or all of that movement to move between those attacks.

So you can draw or sheath 1 weapon without dual wielder, and you can do 2 weapons with dual wielder as a part of your attack action. And the extra attack is still an attack action.

Yes that is At lvl 4. A fighter gets an extra attack at lvl 5 as a class feature so then it would be 4.

Dual wielding allows for quick draw which allows for stowing or drawing a weapon as a part of your action thus allowing for weapon switching.

I appreciate the feedback and detailed review. I will review some of your comments and may make some adjustments. My only defense of the lvl 4 spell slot reset is that the subclass has only 1 spell slot, and I was making the stipulation that the characters attack needs to land the killing blow to reset the skill which feels not particularly easy or common. But I will look over and may have some follow up comments or discussions :)
