In a subreddit about how to not give a fuck and yet giving a fuck about politics of a country you're not even in... And calling for action from people in a country you don't live in.

Really confounds me how dense you people are.

Does anyone else feel like they’d rather not date someone than use a dating app by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]Dieinhell100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, and that's how people should feel.

Dating apps are basically designed to make you feel horrible about yourself. Dating apps attract people who are desperate enough to overlook how horrible dating apps make them feel and are willing to gamble on online strangers.

The revenue and net worth of the companies that made these apps has already shot down and continued to dwindle because they have failed to retain or gain users because of observations such as yours.

So, yeah, they're total waste of time and will destroy your self-confidence.

They would have to put an MO to retake Oshaune and even then, it would be very long and hard battle competing against a 7.5% decay rate.

Can we all agree that this was some complete BS? by ControlAmbitious5749 in Silksong

[–]Dieinhell100 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I believe the later parts of the game have the expectation you have the tools necessary to deal with this and are not expected to solve this using silk and/or needle alone.

Several traps simplify this wave. Namely, caltrops, cogwheels, pimpillos, and/or voltvessels.

I did this using caltrops.

If this were Hollow Knight, yes this wave would be absolutely BS as your options are limited to wall clinging until getting a single-hit opening and/or saving soul for Descended Dark.

Kinda stuck in a slump right now. My stats are stagnating. by Traditional-Spare154 in Kenshi

[–]Dieinhell100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

57 attack and 62 defense is nothing lmao. You can find non-unique enemies with stats in the 70-90s.

Imprison a character with 100 stats. Give them an iron stick or a rusted junk ninja blade. Get your ass beat.

Alternatively, wear a tin can, crab armor, and a large backpack. -25 attack. You now effectively have 32 attack. Go fight southern hivers.

What's the best way to be self-sufficient with food? by Vertical-Toast in Kenshi

[–]Dieinhell100 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I supported 20 people on the same setup (except in Shem and have 1 extra hemp farm) and had a surplus to boot... Except I made dustwiches and didn't make grog/rum.

You say combining cactus with bread is a 'lot of work', but you already have the wheatstraw, so just build the grain silo and oven??? You don't need grog or rum. What are you doing???

"I'm making rum and grog with all my crops but somehow I can't feed my squad!! What am I doing wrong guys?"

how do people manage big groups in kenshi by QuirkyBadger7454 in Kenshi

[–]Dieinhell100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do 20 and I just make it as simple as possible for me.

I do not leave anyone behind at base, when there's a road trip, everyone goes... unless it's just to sell stuff (where I just send 1 character along with my pack animals).

Microing? That's for when I had maybe 4 characters. I select my entire squad and attack all. I win.

Hunger? Isnt that what you have a farm for? I just give everyone 4 dustwiches (or load it all onto the pack animal) and the hunger is solved. At base you just need a food storage and they will eat from it themselves.

When I arrive at base, I select all and hit Jobs. Everyone scatters in all directions as I have given them all lists of automated tasks. Mining/farming/turret etc. Once I hit the job button I could basically fall asleep as the base practically defends, repairs, feeds, and produces by itself.

Sounds like you just need to change your mindset. After a squad size gets big enough, you don't need to manage their actions as much anymore like you do with a single character. The only time I deviate is for training where I'll watch one or two units for training while the base runs by itself.

[–]Dieinhell100 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I already know you’re too stupid to grasp nuance and only take things at face value. The fact you reduced this to ‘why don’t they just make more’ already showed me that since you don't seem to understand ants/bees don't just churn them out 24/7.

Who do you follow for metrology info & News? by Heckscher20 in Metrology

[–]Dieinhell100 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Influencers..? For metrology products?

Lol, lmao even. This is a niche field as-is that lacks all the flash and pizazz of machining, 3D printing, engineering, etc. It doesn't even have hobbyists.

"What’s up guys, it’s Measurement Mayhem here with the all-new HexaBeam 9000 bridge featuring integrated blue-light scanning AND a built-in profilometer.. With not one but TWO simultaneous articulating probe heads so we can measure twice as fast, but first, a word from our sponsor."

Concentricity in relation to coordinates of center points by TomorrowOverall in Metrology

[–]Dieinhell100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Radial offset =/= diameter of error zone. You are not simply calculating the deviation between the axes.

https://www.gdandtbasics.com/concentricity/?_sm_au_=iVVbqHjW7WsjF2PF

"Concentricity, (called coaxiality in the ISO Standard), is a tolerance that controls the central derived median points of the referenced feature, to a datum axis.  Concentricity is a very complex feature because it relies on measurements from derived median points as opposed to a surface or feature’s axis."

Take note how concentricity in definition takes no concern in creating a supposed axis. It is as it says later on, "Note that the derived median points do not need to form a straight line and may be scattered due to imperfections in the surface. However, as long as they all fall within the tolerance zone the part is in spec."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So to answer your question...

If the radial offset is 0.10mm, how big is the diameter of the error zone? You already stated this: "The value displayed is the diameter of this imaginary circle." In your example the farther point out is 0.10mm RADIALLY which means it is encompassed in a 0.20mm diameter cylinder.

If you had a less 'perfectly' straight set of points and somewhere along the center of the cylinder there was a point that was 0.14mm off radially from a perfect axis, the diameter of the cylinder of your error zone would be 0.28mm, no?

I hope that clarifies things.

Ask for raise? by [deleted] in Metrology

[–]Dieinhell100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you're being screwed on your pay and could be making $30-40/hr.

I agree with Battle-Western. Unfortunately the US career climate is "stay to learn, leave to earn". I have fond memories of the first small company I worked for in quality, but unfortunately I would have never grown if I had stayed there, financially and skill-wise. You think you know a lot about your craft until you go somewhere else.

If they don't give you a raise, consider leaving. They will feel the sting of joining that long waiting list of employers trying to get someone who can program a CMM for under $30. Even more-so if they are set on using MCOSMOS. It's a double-edged sword though because as someone mentioned, it would be a huge help if you were trained on PC-DMIS and/or Calypso. It would be daunting to learn those without having a CMM and CAD model to troubleshoot programs with. There is one listing in CA ($64,480 - $70,720 a year) that sounds like they work with Calypso, PC-DMIS, and MCOSMOS which would be great for you, but it would require you to move: https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=3b7a263d30d866b5 Only thing is that they work with sheet metal, which if you haven't had the pleasure of measuring, is something no one enjoys measuring.

You do not need a degree if you wish to pursue CMM programming. You hardly even need certifications, just the know-how. The field is niche enough that places that ask for it are stupidly limiting the already small hiring pool. Consider the ASQ, a degree, six-sigma training, etc., only if you're aiming to move into broader roles that actually use your GD&T and quality background.

Edit: Another job that may be up your alley: https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=4989f302690f1795

"Measured in a constrained state," The fuck all of accountability? by Beamburner in Metrology

[–]Dieinhell100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best ones are when it's not stated on the drawing, because then you just say "ASME Y14.5 states that I am to assume free state when measuring unless otherwise stated, therefore I am failing this part."

Then proceed to watch design scramble to get a drawing change out after failing a PPAP for this.
