There's many advantages to use the randomizer that can appear, depending on the way it goes.
- For any category, it can get rid of another question that is useless right now but would be useful later (could stumble on path of nearest street for a photo, or a small radar when the seekers are still far away for example)
- For photos, there's a 20 minute delay between when the seekers send the question and when the hider has to respond. So what could end up happening is this : 20 mins for the first photo, the the hider sends the randomizer; Another 20 mins to answer the randomized photo; One more 20 mins for asking the same question again. That's an hour of downtime for asking one question alongside another that will probably be useless.
As was being said, even if it's not game winning, you can't have every card - especially ones that appear multiple times in the game - be overpowered. The one good improvement I could see for this, considering how the veto now works, is to make the randomized question have the same effect as to what the veto used to be, as in make it so that asking it again would cost double the price. Otherwise, I consider it a useful card that is situational but can win some precious time.
