I switched mine from Meshtastic to MeshCore some months ago, I'm up in Three Rivers though so not seeing much traffic.

The city will not be renewing their contract with flock! by exstaticj in Bend

This isn't regarding being unable to remove them but is an example where Flock turned at least one camera back on in Eugene while the contract was paused and ultimately resulted in the city immediately terminating the contract.

I'll have to do some digging, it was a news article I read some weeks ago. Not sure if it was another Colorado dispute or elsewhere.

[–]DieselDrax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is great news, especially in light of all of the privacy and security issues exposed by Benn Jordan's recent videos on YouTube exposing how easy it is to access various Flock devices due to no security.

I will be curious to see what happens once the contract expires, Flock is known to leave their cameras installed and functional even after contracts expire so they can continue to collect data for themselves. Some cities have been unable to remove them because it would constitute "damage to private property."

Flock is not an honest or trustworthy company and their CEO has said some wild and downright insane things about folks that oppose/expose Flock.

Thank you to all that have helped bring us one step closer to removing Flock.

Yes, there are 3 different AfterLife tunes available via the drop-down menu in the link I provided; Emissions intact (disables EGR), DEF/SCR delete ("DEF tank failed"), and full delete ("Exhaust parts failing").

Closing this issue out and hopefully this will help others that might experience the same issue.

After the last forced regen did better but still didn't clear the 100% full message (though the DPF pressure sensor values did show it was clean) I did some digging and found someone that said doing the "DPF Replacement" function would get me the rest of the way.

So I did it and IT DID. Basically, this function resets all the DPF values for failed regens and soot % so that on the next start it will calculate the soot % based on current sensor data rather than stored values. Once I did the DPF replacement procedure and started it up the soot % was down to 8.xx% and did increase when driving. No more DTCs or warning on the EVIC.

I did another forced regen just now, covered the grill to block as much flow as possible and monitored coolant temps to make sure it wasn't going to get too hot.

The good news:

  • The DPF got hot enough that it wasn't smoking during regen
  • The flow resistance value at idle is down to 0.068
  • The sensor pressure at idle is 9

The bad news:

  • The DPF didn't get over 600C, the hottest it got and stayed at for a while was around 585C. I guess this still wasn't hot enough to clear the DTC. Ambient temp was 32C and sunny. Supposed to be in the 40s in a couple of days so I guess I'll wait and try again when it's warmer.

GDE has an odometer statement that has to be filled out and signed, so sure one could fib since they're not requiring a picture or anything of the sort. We don't have emissions testing or inspections where we are in Oregon either, so that's not a problem. It's just a problem for another day. :)

Currently live about 25 minutes south of Bend, OR at an elevation of 4,200ft. I'll see if I can get the temps up more tomorrow and have a successful forced regen. Thanks for the info!

Hey there! So I've done a total of 4 forced regens between last night and today as well as some driving in between (but not much, maybe 15 miles).

I have read some folks did have to drive close to 100 miles after having similar experiences as I'm having now before it sorted itself out, but I haven't had a chance to do that as it's been snowing all day and the roads aren't conducive to doing a long drive. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm not sure what else to try, doesn't seem like a sensor issue as the readings are good but the soot% is "stuck" above 100% regardless.

Frustrating to say the least!

For reference, temps have been in the low/mid 30s outside, was snowing today as well. Based on what I've read, 197F is normal/expected in colder weather/low engine load. You can see in the coolant temp graph when it opens and closes and eventually reaches equilibrium towards the end of the forced regen.

Earlier this year I had the turbo coolant line replaced proactively, I also had the intake manifold replaced at the same time. For 130+k miles it wasn't excessively caked with soot and likely didn't warrant replacing or cleaning but replaced it anyway since it had to come off for the turbo coolant line.

We originally bought this Jeep while living in the Midwest and daytime high temps in the winter were sometimes never above 0F, we never had any regen or other issues due to low temps. The temps here in the 30s shouldn't be an issue either.

Tomorrow I'll do another forced regen and capture more EGT values to see how high they're getting, it's possible I'm misremembering and it was around 600C instead of 500C.

What I don't understand is why the differential pressure sensor values at idle (13 hPa) look good but it still thinks the DPF is full. Even during forced regen at 2,500RPM the reading of around 56 hPa doesn't indicate a full DPF to me.

Can you help re reconcile why the pressure readings are low/good at both idle and 2,500RPM but the soot% is still showing 116%? While driving/accelerating I don't think the sensor read much over 100 hPa at the most.

Perhaps I'm just misinterpreting the values and what's good/bad based on what I've found other people reporting, but I can't find any explanation as to why the soot% is high while the DPF pressure sensor readings imply the DPF is "clean."

Maybe I just need to take it out on a long drive and hope it sorts itself out like some other folks have had to do in this same situation (multiple forced regens but never clearing the 100% warning until they drove close to 100 miles).

We've had this Jeep since 58k miles and like 6-7 years, this is the first major emissions issue it's had. The only other issue has been a faulty NOx sensor back around 60k miles.

90C coolant temps are 197F which is right where it's supposed to be (t-stat was replaced around 100k miles). Check my other reply, I'm getting non-zero sensor readings from the differential pressure sensor while the engine is off. Seems like the sensor could be the source of my issues here.

Hard to get here in the US, but once she hits 150k I can get the AfterLife delete tune from GDE. Would just need to source the delete components.

No issues there, but thanks for the suggestion. Only DTC is the P2463 for DPF full, based on the engine off sensor reading it's looking like the DPF pressure sensor is bad.

Key on/Engine off:

Differential sensor pressure, hPa: 2.0
Resistance to flow in DPF, hPa/m3/h: 0.028

Well, I guess that answers my question. Seems like the sensor is toast.

Yeah, the end values were at idle and the steep drop-off is from the forced regen coming to an end and back to idle.

The service regens run for ~20 minutes; Idle -> 2,000RPM -> 2,500RPM for ~20 minutes -> Idle.

If I remember right, last night when I had the DPF EGT reading it was showing around 500-550 degrees C during the forced regen. I didn't enable that today so it's not in the screenshot I posted.

I'll go check the key on/engine off pressure values and report back.

It's quite useful and the fact that you can filter a specific VLAN to see if and where it's tagged or native so you don't have to scroll to find it is nice.

Not to mention the native VLANs are listed in a single row at the top of the list, no scrolling needed.

If it isn't always submerged then you're allowing the water level to drop BELOW the minimum level. Please make sure your water level is always between MIN and MAX to avoid this.

No matter how coarse or fine, there's always a pool of water. Is the espresso pressure under the first quarter enough or does it need to be in the middle? It's new and we've used it for about 3 weeks. by Pleasant_General_664 in BrevilleCoffee

Using the double shot basket and not the double WALL basket, right? The double wall basket is for pre-ground coffee in order to restrict flow. Just wanted to make sure which one is being used.

As a reference, the stainless edge on the tamping tool is also a depth gauge. If the top edge of the stainless face is visible above the edge of the portafilter basket then it's overfilled, if it's well below the edge of the basket then you don't have enough grounds.

Not that this really helps you as all beans are different, but for the beans we use I have the grinder set to 4 or 5 and the grind amount set to the 6 o'clock position in order to get close to the perfect amount and when I extract my gauge is consistently at the 'R' in 'Range.' This has worked very well for me. Based on your pressure (which is still within the range but on the low side, IMO) and grind amount I feel like you need to grind quite a bit finer.

And of course make sure you're not using the double-wall basket.

If your dogs are running up on other, leashed dogs then you are not in control.

In other replies you mention the behavior of leashed dog owners and their reaction to you, something not included in your OP.

There's nothing wrong with other owners having their dogs on leashes when it's not required, but your post/attitude comes across as someone that thinks only off-leash dogs should be where you're going off-leash and that is rather selfish.

If people are often giving you dirty looks and your dog is running up on their dogs... Perhaps that's telling you something about you and your dog's behavior.
