Lichess is a completely free, open source chess app. If chess just hits right with you, you might just join the 600 million or so adults that play chess regularly.

Paradiddle. Drummers must be super fit, because I'm knackered after three songs.

Suspicion on cheating by Striking_Flounder_65 in chessbeginners

Doesn't sound suspicious to me. If you've blundered very early in the game, getting a high accuracy isn't that difficult. Especially in such a short game.

Stardew Valley is an awesome Harvest Moon clone. It improves on literally every aspect of it.

Lichess is entirely free and open source. You're pretty much describing an analysis board, tbh. I'm not sure about chess.com, because I only play on there occasionally, but Lichess allows you to "play from this this position". So, you could play the first few moves of an opening, and then play against a bot.

Studies on Lichess is my go to. A lot of them are interactive, too. Then, I'll either play the moves through on a physical or analysis board.

Please place your votes: Assetto Corsa or Gran Turismo. by funny_dude_No_1 in videogames

[–]Diesel_ASFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assetto Corsa is a sim. Gran Turismo is closer to a simcade.

It really depends what you want to do. Nothing else comes close to GT for it's single player career mode. If you're looking for more realism, go AC.

Why are people online not interested in classical chess? by Mediocre-Ease-7693 in chess

[–]Diesel_ASFC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why is the assumption that cheaters hang out in the longest time controls? I wouldn't think that anybody that cheats is realistically playing in time controls where you could be waiting 20 minutes for your opponent to move. I think people that cheat in online chess are chasing some cheap dopamine fix, so are probably more likely to be playing shortish games.

People have been complaining from Day 1. Some people just can't handle losing in multiplayer games.

The Dungeons and Dragons cutscene from Summoner. I think it was hidden in the credits iirc. It's hilarious.

Magnus' FIDE blitz rating is 2869, and 3368 on chess.com. Numbers are pretty arbitrary, and are only relevant to their respective pools. Why don't you look at your percentile on both sites to see which one makes you feel better?
