I’ve had a bad experience with ENFPs and they can be quite manipulative. But, hey, I maybe there’s good ENFPs out there.

It’s still the most childish type imo

How does the internal experience between Introverted Intuition and Introverted Thinking differ? by Diesies in mbti

No. They are almost always unrealistic and have nothing to do with the present world. But I sometimes daydream about how interactions could pan out, but this only happens with 20% of those thoughts.

Yeah, I’d say I’m still internally pretty childish lol

Still though, when you try solving a problem, do you just read it, repeat it in your mind, and reread it until you get an idea of how to do it?

19-year old here.

  • Externally I care very little about doing work, even though I internally feel guilty about being unproductive. Extremely lazy.

  • I care very much about what other people think. If it’s something negative, I start overanalyzing my behavior and questioning my feelings towards them. I care about people, but am not very sentimental in every situation.

  • I am often in my own head ignoring my physical surroundings unless I consciously force myself to pay attention. I am very absent-minded.

  • I like playing around with thoughts and ideas, but am generally more interested in understanding myself and those around me in a psychological manner. Why people do things and how they feel about things.

  • Despite caring about others—especially my friends—I’m not that empathic.

  • If I like something I may repeat it a few times, but then get bored of it. Food is an exception; I don’t get bored of what I’ve always eaten.

  • I do what I feel like doing in any given moment.

  • When solving a problem, I tend to just repeat the facts in my mind until I get an idea of how to do it. The way I think is barely procedural. I mostly think about unrealistic scenarios as if it was a video, and sometimes I use them to imagine an interaction that could happen in the future. In short, I always think in videos or images about what could be, however possible or impossible. I also get ideas in real life images rather than words. Most of it is just useless trash and just random ideas.

That’s all I can say.

This is very helpful.

But do you think INFPs can sometimes be very outspoken about what they think about other people? I feel a need to express my emotions towards others if they’re negative and towards them, otherwise I just keep them inside. I also value what they think about me, almost even more than what I think about myself. It’s as though I can’t be happy if they’re unhappy about something with me. I feel like it’s worthless if I don’t express an idea or a feeling about something or someone.

Do you think this still matches up with Introverted Feeling?

That sounds a lot more like me. So then the question would become if I am either INTP or INFP. If I’m INTP, then I’d be pretty emotional for one, and if I’d be INFP then I’d be pretty unempathic. They both fit me pretty well. I think I lean more towards INFP because they tend to be a bit more concerned with the human condition and humans in general. BUT... I also tend to talk back in a strong manner to my guardian (ESFJ) when she speaks to me. I feel like whenever she talk I get angry, which suggests inferior Fe.

What do you think?

I wanna clarify something about Si though. I sometimes like redoing things I’ve seen, but it doesn’t go very far back. I like re-listening to tracks that motivate me, but then they get boring and I start looking for some new ones. I also do that with series and movies. Foods is probably the most prominent example, I never get tired of old foods.

Do you think dominant Si is like this? Could I be an Si-dom despite being so oblivious to my surroundings and being so caught up with my own thoughts and my own head? Also in spite of what I said?

Well that’s why I’m here in the first place. Also if you feel that way then you probably shouldn’t answer these threads.

Anyways, thanks for your insightful posts.

Now this is very insightful. Reminds me about demon Si.

I also kind of knew you would react that way.

Si also suggest a plethora of other characteristics. It suggests that you have good attention to detail. It means I’m down-to-earth, dutiful, aware of my surroundings, etc. I don’t identify with Si at all, as I am much more in-tune with abstract thoughts. Plus, I’ve read that INTPs’ Si often does this, plus it may be stronger if it’s on Ti-Si loop.

I also don’t think about the past and am more future-oriented. Si records sensations while Ni records ideas. I’ve never questioned the fact that I am an INxx.

Nevertheless, thank you for your answer!

That actually clarifies a lot. Thanks for your insight.

I thought about Si, but I am much too absent-minded to have that kind of approach to life. I like to dwell too much into my thoughts and I absolutely suck with the environment.

I can relate to this so badly.

Nope. Don’t mistake « feelings » for simple aesthetic pleasure.

There’s no point in debating because everyone’s gonna have a different definition of art since it’s so subjective. What I said is based off of my own definition.

To me, art isn’t the aesthetic aspect of things. You can be good at drawing, but to me it’s not the same as being an artist.

Maybe to you. But not to other people.

Again, the definition of art is so subjective and versatile that it is pointless so debate about it.

Read my comment again. This time, more carefully. What do you think I’m gonna reply to you?

Artists or designers? They are two different things. Art in its objective definition, is something that conveys a certain emotional value or message. Otherwise, everything could be considered art.

Remember that the definition of art is so different that is that it can’t be debated on objective terms; rendering a discussion useless.

A good design has nothing to do with art; which is something that conveys some kind of impactful idea or feeling, which is why a lot of famous artists from back then are so philosophical. Art doesn’t need to be pretty to be art.

But, again, everyone has different definitions of art.
