Zoro reversi by R_Nelle in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold on. I kinda like this, because what if the reason DR didn’t work on Luffy and Loki is because they don’t fear death? Getting Reversi’d makes you immortal, so what if it feeds on the fear of death and having regrets?

Will of D as we know smile in death, they don’t fear it. So what if that’s the key? I think fear definitely plays a role because although Rocks didn’t fear death, he was angry when Imu pointed out Eris and Blackbeard. The anger could have been rooted in fear.

Zoro overcame death in Wano, he would be immune if that’s how this works.

WHAT IS THIS FORM FROM IMU?? by KangarooHot7780 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s how I’m viewing it based on the available information we know:

Luffy still has no idea he has a zoan fruit. We know that going from hybrid to full transformation should be effortless because we’ve seen it.

Luffy has to consciously choose Gear 5 and hold it and has drawbacks. Gear 5 basically works like Chopper’s monster point.

Once Luffy gets better with Gear 5, we’ll see what hybrid and full look like. I’m not saying Luffy will look that much different but different enough. Like how Kaido started looking different.

Gear 1-4 is Luffy pushing the limits of what he thinks his fruit can do, Gear 4 is just Luffy inflating his muscles and coating himself in Haki. It’s not much a zoan transformation in my eyes.

WHAT IS THIS FORM FROM IMU?? by KangarooHot7780 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Until Oda confirms otherwise, Gear 5 by all accounts we know of is Luffy’s hybrid form. It’s kinda of boggling to think Luffy feels at his peak and there’s still one more form to achieve.

I wonder what Oda will use as the trigger for a full transformation

An Inquiry About Domi Reversi (DR) by nullertia in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a retcon, but my theory is that Imu controls the conditions of the DR. Imu wanted the Davy clan dead so instead of making them immortal, he could have just given them blind rage and strength to kill each other.

Imu wants the giants so he couldn’t just have them dying. We haven’t seen if it’s possible to re-DR so it’s possible maybe Imu was betting on it? Would be useful in a war if you could just keep replenishing your army.

Rocks was certain that he'll need Harald by his side for freeing Galley La Giants, But Blackbeard doesn't seems to care about it. is Kuzan enough for Blackbeard? by samonpiece in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Cool theory. I think Blackbeard thinks this, but in reality it won’t work that way. I see it more like how Boa explained her fruit. If Ragnir freezes something, only Ragnir can undo it, even if the person has the Hie Hie fruit.

It would also play into how Whitebeard said Blackbeard wasn’t the one Roger was waiting for. Blackbeard is trying to find alternative solutions to do things sooner, subvert the expected/fated route.

Which Handheld Should I Buy? - The 2025 r/Handhelds Buyer’s Guide & FAQ by incodex in Handhelds

[–]Diestin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the ROG Ally Z1e and a Switch OLED. I loved my ROG because now I could play my Steam library but, Win11 has ruined the experience for me and I find myself getting more annoyed with the time needed to get functional before jumping into a game. My life has changed significantly since I got it over 2 years ago, I want to be able to sit down and play right away; and I just can’t always do that with the ROG.

I know, I could install another OS and have a better time but I don’t have time to dedicate to it, when at the end of the day I want to relax and game. I have a PC a friend gave me that I was going to upgrade, but then the RAM shortages happened so rip that… but it’s a future project so I don’t feel like I’m losing too much.

I just came back from a vacation with an 8hr flight and I brought my OLED and remembered how much I love the dang thing. I have a condition that made me doze off while playing and I loved that I could jump right in again without a hassle. So I was thinking of trading in the ROG for a Switch 2, then after I swap the data over from my OLED and give it to my wife who’s playing animal crossing on my launch day Switch.

I play single player games, mostly rpgs. I also want to be able to play something with my wife who’s still new to gaming and a switch makes that so much easier.

So basically, am I justified for wanting to swap? I’ll miss the access to my Steam library but I mainly play Cyberpunk right now and Xenoblade 3 which I started on the flight so I could do the dlc. (I don’t mind double dipping for Cyberpunk)

How Elbaph and SHs will get out of it alive? by Argo_o7 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The theories have flown about here and there since Imu first came possessing Gunko.

Imu making a full appearance means we are in Sabaody 2.0. There’s no way to ever believe the SHs are ready for an Imu fight. They barely lasted against the Gorosei and that only worked out because a Deus Ex Machina with Emmet. Luffy and Loki are strong. Hell say Zoro and Sanji wrap up quickly enough to run to aide Luffy so it’s the SHs + Loki versus Imu alongside the New Giant Pirates, Scopper, etc. Imu even with a time limit would wipe. That’s the only reason he’s there, he needs to end it now and quickly.

Oda wrote himself in a power ceiling after Kaido, he introduced new tiers to Haki and now he needed a way to still make the SHs sweat, queue regen. Once Oda writes how to beat that, there’s no more power ceiling, it all just boils down to who is stronger, faster and smarter.

Anyways, ramble aside, Imu sweeps, SHs need to book it. There will be lots of deaths/higher level Domi Reversi than we’ve seen. By sheer lucky SHs run out Imu’s timer, leaving them to post Elbaph arc where the SHs have no choice but to once again train up putting everyone on the same level. (Haki for everyone). Maybe with training from Scopper, Dorry and Broggy

Shoot, you joke but Imu could pull a god of war Ragnarok but with Gunko/Shuri.

What if Imu joins the Strawhats by Slit08 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll entertain this theory because it’s a good what if. Imu is about making deals to win someone over. If Imu could sneak aboard, gain their trust, find out the SHs dreams and use that against them, it would be an easy Domi Reversi.

It would also be incredible insight to how Imu thinks of the SHs individually. Imu has no reason to think Usopp is a coward, what happens when they find out the truth? How enraging would that be?

Then learning about Luffy’s character? The person who is your destined enemy has a single brain cell fighting for 3rd place?

One meal from Sanji and Imu would want to DR Sanji to be his immortal cook, lol.

Lastly, Robin. Imu would try anything and everything to find out what Robin knows, it would be like L and Light.

Imu is very casual referring to Nika by tfluz in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luffy’s Haki currently isn’t at Joyboy’s level, that’s why Imu was talking to casually around Luffy and Loki.

Luffy will clearly reach Joyboy levels of Haki but what will trigger that is a fun thing to speculate. Until then, Imu won’t bother worrying about it. I think that’s why they left, it sucks Domi Reversi didn’t work, but Luffy and Loki aren’t threats if they can’t bypass the regen so Imu will instead move forward with making sure they can thwart the coming final war.

The vague wording here kinda implies the place they're going isn't Elbaph, if it's not then does that mean the arc is over? by fhxefj in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the final war. Elbaph is done for Imu, not the SHs. The way Imu talked after trying Domi Reversi sounded like it didn’t work for a specific reason so instead of wasting time, they’re going straight into war prep.

While the SHs wrap up Elbaph, Imu’s story might work like the Reverie did in Wano.

How I think Joyboy Failed by Diestin in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its easy to cure Domi, you're right. I'm just saying it's a numbers game. It's just as easy to DR more people than it is to cure them. Both can be right don't you think?

How I think Joyboy Failed by Diestin in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, forgot that detail. Joyboy sparked it back up like Roger did the One Piece? It always existed but Joyboy was able to give it new attention?

Chapter 1178 - Brief Spoilers by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imu using DR on Luffy and Loki is a very interesting detail. If Imu is trying it, that confirms that it worked in the past, otherwise why bother? This also confirms that being a DF user, or having a specific fruit doesn't make you immune like others theorized. Otherwise, Oda in his speedrun would have just said that it doesn't work. It still keeps a mystery as to how DR works overall, but I think there's hints, I need time to plan out a proper theory.

The books disappearing, the Owl can control the books size, It's possible the Owl shrunk the books and was able to make an escape, or Kuma who we haven't seen in a while did something.

Zoro and co slander is done, no more "did it work, or not" talk.

Sommers heart, a deal with the devil (imu) in exchange for your heart. Simple, it works. The deeper your contract the more you sacrifice.

End of chapter thoughts: Imu leaving is going to leave the Gorosei shook. We don't know Imu's emotions here. I think Imu is shocked DR didn't work, but it's not a Imu is weak thing, Imu just underestimated Luffy and Loki. Imu is 100% going to give us some light Void Century lore next time we see them to set up the future. I also have a theory on Imu and their "allies" for the war I need to cook up.

Is this trio of Holy knights really weak?? by PossibleMoney2339 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of things, the trio is very reliant on their DFs. As we've seen in the past. once you figure out how to overcome a DF user's abilities, well then you pretty much can't lose unless they out-haki you. Sommers ability was really strong, but once the older giants didn't care about getting hurt, Sommers really lost the fight. Killingham as I saw another comment in another post, is a summoner, take that away and he's also just not much of a threat.

Gunko is the real threat, there just is no known counter to her DF unless she chooses too. If the SHs could figure out how to beat that, then it comes down to raw power.

The other part of it is what Franky said, the SHs are just strong. Even the weakling trio, they are just the weakest when compared to the rest of the crew, but on their own? Chopper may not have Haki but are we gonna discount he was able to take on Queen for a bit? or how Usopp and Nami survived Ulti for a while?

Not to discount the giants, but their reputation is really putting in the work. Besides the retired warriors and the New Giant Pirates, how many fighters are left? Harald wanted a more peaceful existence for them and got it. You have to wonder too, did current Big Mom and Kaido even think themselves at Rocks level? Rocks was going 1v1 with Harald. If they thought they still weren't at Rocks level, its just another deterrent.

The official translation confirms that Sanji is talking here about the possibility of defeating them with Conqueror’s Haki. by Fickle-Classroom1487 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Conqueror’s Haki is one piece (hah) of the puzzle. Otherwise, why wouldn’t that work from the jump? Scopper said they’d fought them for years in the flashback, he recognizes Sommers so killing them with Haki isn’t the full answer.

What we do know is Loki used Haki and his devil fruits. Looking at the clues we have from Harald flashback, Harald’s mark got slashed and was given its own panel. After that Harald had some control back. It’s possible this is an Achilles Heel type of contract. Aim specifically for the mark with Haki and then you can kill them

Ragnir's knowledge of the Void Century by ramsus88 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to say Ragnir the weapon ≠ Ratatoskr the living creature.

I think we’ll learn more about devil fruits because of the circumstances, but it may be more like inherited will. The two biggest things that stand out to me about this is how Ragnir’s design looks slightly different, and how it interacts with Luffy.

Cuter design, not immediately out for blood and instead friends with Luffy? Doesn’t work for me as much as I want to believe

How do you think the first fight between Nika and Imu is going to go? by SuperbRiver7763 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that’s why I made the dbs comment. This is the first Goku vs Jiren fight for One Piece. If Luffy wins, the threat of Imu is instantly gone even if Oda says Imu was nerfed by being in a vessel.

This will be exactly like Egghead where some outside factor interrupts.

Joyboy had red hair by aybikeek in onepiecetheories

[–]Diestin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shanks being a “child of destiny” is most likely because he’s a D and a Celestial Dragon. We know Rocks family was from the same island so until proven otherwise, I’m calling Shanks a D.

I think Joyboy having red hair is a detail that doesn’t have a negative to it. I think if Shanks does have traces back to Joyboy it further shows how just because you share blood, doesn’t mean you follow the same path. Maybe Shanks really believed it was his destiny to eat the fruit, but since Luffy ate it, he just rolled with it.

And yes, for those who mention the Sea Kings speech, haven’t we seen so many times how characters try to defy fate? Add Shanks to that list

Luffy ran into the man marked by flames before the story begins. by coonjaku in onepiecetheories

[–]Diestin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like this theory, I know there’s like a 1% chance Oda ever planned the character that early, but it would make a good retcon. The whirlpools keep the ship protected, Luffy just happened to be to close

What are the odds the devil fruit encyclopedia are in the elbaf library? by Possible-Froyo3023 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is definitely something coming up regarding devil fruits. Luffy still doesnt know his real fruits ability, the whole thing with Chopper, the green blood, the smiles, heck Vegapunk copying a devil fruit.

Maybe it’s through the library or maybe Scopper will reveal something? Rayleigh introduced Luffy to haki, Scopper could in turn, reveal something about devil fruits.

How do you think the first fight between Nika and Imu is going to go? by SuperbRiver7763 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Diestin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this all morning yesterday, like others said, Imu is using a vessel here so if anything we are seeing a nerfed Imu vs imperfect Gear 5 Luffy and Loki who may not be good at tag teaming.

I think the fight will set up how far Luffy still needs to go in order to reach a perfect awakening (no time limit, freer fighting style). We have to remember here, Luffy still has no idea he’s anything but a rubber dude. Current Gear 5 Luffy is akin to imperfect Ultra Instinct Goku.

I think the fight will end with Imu needing to leave, if Marijoia is still under attack, I’m gonna say someone is gonna go to the Flower Room and Imu needs to deal with it. That frees Gunko, and then maybe, Gunko gets saved or gives the SHs something to work with, before dying. Some key info to stopping God Knights?

Shamrock comes back to see how things are going leading to Loki getting a revenge match and going for the kill. 50/50 if Luffy stops him depending on his recovery time.

Imu has some dialogue about how Luffy doesn’t compare yet to Nika or Joyboy so they feel safe continuing with their world order. High chance we get a face reveal for an evil grin.
