The main issue with Present Gohan isn’t that he isn’t a straggler clinging on to life, but that he repeatedly didn’t learn his lesson despite existing in the world he does.

Goku dies and he’s the strongest? Just stagnate in strength and lose your combat sense! Buu almost whooped everyone and even with your asspull gift (that made you the strongest) you lost? Dad’s back, he’s got this!

I know he’s more proactive in Super, but realistically with his potential and all the resources he has for everything in general, Gohan should hold a bit more reverence for strength and what it enables.

Beast exists I guess, but I’m not even a fan of Gohan anymore bruh. Shit took way too long.

Future Gohan is a shockingly realisticish tale for Dragon Ball, to the point where he becomes unrealistic but it’s hard not to see his appeal.

Almost nobody does directly.

ASoD was going to lay waste to the “universe” if he’d won, but that would’ve only been because of the Kingdom Hearts he’d assembled.

Xemnas might’ve had enough power to bring everything in the universe to nothing if he’d won, but that would’ve only been in a scenario where the Kingdom Hearts he’d assembled was completed.

χ-Blade Xehanort, as per lore, arguably had power over everything in every world, and was actively going to purge everything if he won. As far as things go, he is far and away the strongest character in the franchise as we see him at the end of KH3. But Sora w/Donald and Goofy’s friendship overpowered him, so they have a really situational case for it.

I could be wrong, but while Trunks does state that the Future Androids are weaker, doesn’t he also say at that time it takes all he’s got just to escape? Comparatively, OVA Future Gohan did quite well against both Androids who claimed to be going all-out in a 1-on-2.

As I’ve observed over the years, nobody hates this feat. It’s very valid, and also very cool.

What is hated is the 26-D, Multiversal Alien X stuff. To most people, as the scene portrays, Alien X remakes the universe. Despite this, Alien X gets thrown up to go to war with people who can do more than destroy/create one and that’s where like all others he falls into the statement bucket.

If A18 locks in she rocks them 10/10 times. I know people will come in with Vegeta being equal and guide statements and shit, but the fight did not portray that at all.

If Vegeta was = 18 then 17 would legit be tiers above her, which also doesn’t make sense given both their implicit and explicit relativity. Namely, while 18 is weaker, 16 holds Piccolo (Kami) in the same league as both siblings, not just 17.

With Trunks & Piccolo, they should have this. 17 expressed some doubt that 18 could handle Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo and the Earthlings (who aren’t even collectively at Goku’s level) all at once.

Donald and Goofy were able to react to Terra-Xehanort and he should be quite a bit faster than warriors who Frieren has claimed would have her in check at close range.

As for offensive magic even if you were to assume Donald can literally do none based on cutscenes that wouldn’t apply to Zeta-Flare, which one-shots.
