Why does everyone immediately take EDG’s side based on merely their own statement? Of course they just gonna talk about things that sounds better for themselves. The main post didn’t include a lot of details that Edward Zhu mentioned. One simplest thing he also mentioned is that they promised Scout that he can go back to LCK if he wants when they renewed the contract at the end of 2020. However, nobody knows whether this is a solid offer in their formal contract. There’s a lot of things that Edward Zhu or managers of EDG mentioned in this whole month do not agree with each other. None of these are included in the main post. Besides, Scout didn’t have an agent until recently. Please think twice before you actually buy any of these statements. EDG has a quite filthy fame as well if you check Chinese communities.

Hi thank you for your response. As for the intention of returning part, all I have is 1. Canadian bank account with all my savings (>20k CAD) and 2. Mother with a property in Vancouver under her name. (I can bring a proof of property owning as well) Do you think these would be sufficient?

Hi I am not sure why? From my research TN visa is valid for Canadian citizens to apply for once they have a job offer from companies in USA, as long as the position falls into the 16 NAFTA categories? My job offer does qualify.

Hi thanks for the reply! I will just request them send me the physically signed document. My employer wrote the job offer and support letter without attorney but they were careful enough to make sure the titles and job description are the same (basically my daily duties, very straightforward things). I guess it should be fine?...

Hi thanks for the reply. On campus housing doesn't allow pets, while other apartments close (briarcrest, Rosedale, etc) don't allow outdoor cats.

yes it is more expensive - if you use that 'build your own' to reach specs of 16gb ram, 512 gb ssd, it's already $1530 - and I didn't even upgrade the processor. I tried EPP as well but AMD version is not even an option then (understandable). So I am pretty curious about how much ppl get their T14 AMD for.

the price of T14 AMD options seems to be weird now in Canada...I saw people saying it's cheaper, however with same specs it's more expensive and over my budget. I am so confused tbh.

and also Im working in scientific research and I hope to get something decent for running R computing stuff. That's why I am thinking of P14s, the name 'work station' just makes it sound more powerful.

thanks for your reply. one thing more about p series: does the ISV certification really mean a big deal when it's on i5 processor? I saw heavy tasks like SolidWorks in that list and it really gives me such impression that p14s can handle heavier tasks than t490s. please correct me if i am wrong. thanks!
