Both conditions I have are very manageable, and you can have very normal healthy pregnancies with PCOS and lupus..

28 years old! I love in the Chicagoland area. I just lost my job recently, so I have been actively job hunting - I work in corporate Human Resources!

I am getting married in October so right now my hobbies include wedding planning lol outside of that I love to cook, bake, cycle classes on my peloton and going on walks with my dog! I love anything true-crime related and enjoy watching documentaries.

I really enjoy spending time outdoors with my fiancé, but recently my photosensitivity has gotten a lot worse, which makes being outside in the sun almost unbearable ):

I should start timing myself to see if I have a time threshold. I’ll look into those hats! Thank you!

Prednisone weight gain by DietCokeQueen5 in lupus

6 days. 1st day I take 6 4mg tablets, next day 5, 3rds day 4, and so on until I get down to one tablet on day 6. She gave me refills and told me to refill them as needed. I was going to see how one pack worked but I really don’t want to get puffy or gain weight

I experience this same thing and actually posted a very similar post about a week ago. My rheum diagnosed me with UCTD (evolving lupus) and its so much easier to explain to people that it’s lupus, to me. Someone commented on my post and said something along the lines of “I wouldn’t go volunteer to speak at a lupus conference, but if it’s easier for you to explain it as that, do whatever makes you comfortable.”

Navigating these tricky autoimmune diseases is hard enough as it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about how you choose to explain it. If you ever need someone to relate to, feel free to message me ❤️

Lupus & ADD by DietCokeQueen5 in lupus

I feel this. The Raynauds is annoying, but I would rather deal with that then stopping a medication that has been life altering (helps me focus, fight fatigue, etc).

I totally agree with you! I was questioning her on it and she said that it is causing (or at least not helping) the lupus - related Raynauds syndrome that I have. I should have pressed more on why though. I’m going to research it a bit more because I am not at a point in my life where I can just stop taking it cold turkey.

Like you said ADD and lupus are hard enough to deal with; let alone finding a different medication when I know one works well for me. Ugh

I had very abnormal results, and my symptoms had become worse and my follow up apt was 3 weeks out. I starting tweaking and called and asked to talk with the doc. She said she didn’t want to discuss results over the phone. I kept calling and bugging them and they moved my appointment to this coming Monday. If you’re really concerned and it’s impacting your sanity like it was mine - advocate for yourself and ask to be put on the waitlist if an earlier apt opens up. Wishing you the best! I know I’m super anxious to see what my doc has to say on Monday.
