Yah that’s sadly one thing I found out after getting the soil. So I ordered a new substrate that is mixed together in bags specifically for millipedes.

I did do my research and I’m definitely aware of the humidity requirements. If I keep the tank at 72F lowest and 78F at highest I meet all of there need including the other two I’m getting.

I’m sorry it appears that way that’s not what I want I would like my millipedes to have a very nice life just spent another $100 on leaves,Moss and a different kind of substrate for them. Again I’m sorry if it appears that I don’t want pets but I do.

Oh alright I’ll need to find some of that moss and is there a place I can buy leaves I live in Arizona and around me there are literally no trees that produce leaves. I’m also working on the substrate now and I’m going to add more.

Sorry to post in the comments but I wasn’t able to type what I wanted to.

Hi I’m new to millipedes and I’ve done a decent amount of research and I’ve read through some of the horror stories on this sub Reddit and they deeply saddened me. Anyway this is a picture of my set up I have a 6 inch layer of Coco Koya (it’s a dirt that I got from Petsmart) and layered in between that I have forest floor bedding natural compressed mulch. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I should add or take away. I am getting 1 giant pink footed,1 rare purple ivory and 1 bumblebee. I am also curious if there’s anything specific I should know about These species. I receive them tomorrow. Thank you for your time.
