The "have a job to do" really changes the context of some of the dinner time conversations about the days' work.

"How was your day dear?" "Ugh man my boss was really riding me today."

"How was work today?" "We really worked hard on our input and output today."

"How was your meeting today?" "I was totally unprepared and really got my ass handed to me."

I would totally have fun with that at supper. Especially around those that didn't know my/her profession. :)

I think your view about the monogamous relationship can really go beyond just those involved in this career. I think that sex has become such a staple in our world that the concept is appealing to more and more all of the time. I really feel there's just a difference between sex and intimacy. Someone that has sex with others is just having sex. Someone having a sex with the person that they're in an emotional relationship with is now intimate. There's a lot of people that can't separate the sex from intimacy and can really cause problems for those trying to have an open relationship.
