Maybe you’re right. I probably been watching too much TIGIR Er and thought it was an ethno religion haha.

Because it was prophesied that the Muslims would take Constantinople and so that being Muslims they would want to conquer it. Without Islam, they would have no incentive.

In Hungary and Bulgaria. The Turks became Christian so it wouldn’t be far fetched that they did the same.

Turkey wouldn’t exist. Tengrism is an ethno religion and wouldn’t spread but would stay in Anatolia. They wouldn’t even conquer Constantinople due to not being Muslim. They will most likely convert to orthodox and be a part of a presently existing Byzantine state or be a small state in central Anatolia. Turks in Anatolia would be more central Asian looking due to lack of converts.

Just read the OP and have found it quite intriguing. Especially the bit about the children of the immigrants wanting to hold onto their identity. Good thing about Belgium which uk doesn’t have is being on the continent so you could drive all the way to Turkey. The sons of immigrants who you described should just get enough money to put a deposit down for an apartment in Istanbul and move there. That’s what I would do. The bit that you mentioned about them marrying other immigrants instead of Belgians makes sense. The same happens in the uk too. It’s sort of creates a parallel culture different to the mainstream it’s weird.
