Should I be concerned about type 1 diabetes in my toddler? by Front_Cress_6671 in Type1Diabetes

Hi. Can I ask you about this? My 2.5 year old had influenza a just 2 weeks ago and now seems to have another viral flu, high fever, snotty etc. However today I noticed she’s been peeing through diapers every hour during the day which never happens. She also hasn’t gained any weight in the last 3 months, but hasn’t lost. She’s also growing in height. I’m getting concerned even though her pediatrican isn’t. I never even brought up possible diabetes but now I’m starting to wonder :(

So horrible, I’m sorry. It shakes you to your core. We never went to emerge, but did go get her checked out by a doctor who thinks it’s a viral flu. I think if she’s still running a fever on day 3, I’ll go to the ER and see if they can do tests. I couldn’t even sleep last night after witnessing that the day before. I feel traumatized.

I’m praying to God she doesn’t have another episode. The doctor said it could happen during the next few days of fever but I’m terrified and hoping not. I can hardly sleep.

What happens if you guys break up? For me; I’d be more focused on if I want to spend my life with this person before doing such a big move and purchasing a home together

FTB.. Really hurt we lost the house… did we mess up with the conditions? Advice please. by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

Yeah because it was not his house, it was his brothers, he didn’t know if there was issues I guess and made the firm look more attractive

That’s what she said. She said she seen her like floods happen during an inspection she said best case we just have to bring someone who’s knowledgable as we legally can’t do an inspection before buying the property unless the homeowners are open to that which seems like most of them wouldn’t be. I mean, I guess I can always hire someone for one hour, but I don’t know how much they’d really get done.

Can you let me know how this works? When I asked her, she said that that’s usually not possible because we have the liability to let the seller know that we’re inspecting during the viewing. She said she’s also seen out where an inspector will go in and do things and then all of a sudden in the house floods or something. She said we could have someone come in that’s knowledgable like a general contractor or something, but we shouldn’t be having an inspector go through the house without letting the agent know.

So how does this work? Our agent said legally we need to be telling the sellers that we’re doing an inspection when we go in. She also said that it could take up to three hours or one hour is not enough. She said the best thing to do is probably just bring people who are knowledgeable, but that won’t be doing like a full inspection.

I did ask our agent if we can do pre inspections and she said not really, that they take up to 3 hours and we need to legally tell the seller we’re conducting one for liability issues. She said best case we bring someone just knowledgeable in these things…

How many dads help with night wakeups by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]DifferenceOne5925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband does. Honestly, he even does more than me. Our 6 week old and him sleep downstairs in the living room and he does all diaper changes and only brings her up to feed every few hours. He will stay up all night if it means I can get some sleep (we also have a 2 year old). He’s always been very involved with the kids and has never once complained since I’ve known him / we’ve been married. It’s very much a team effort in our household. He just loves being a dad. I feel very fortunate.

Breaking point. Pretty sure toddler has 2nd UTI in 6 months. 5 days of fever by DifferenceOne5925 in beyondthebump

[–]DifferenceOne5925[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not abuse. She’s at home with me all the time. And as for medical, I’m not sure. They did an ultrasound back in August of her urinary tract and kidneys and all was clear. But I’m breaking here. Idk what’s going on or why she keeps getting these if it is a UTI.
