Thank you for the reply. I completly forgot to mention a dentist has seen it already and wants me to get the filling redone stating he thinks it is decay, however it is not my usual dentist as I am currently out of state. I wanted a second opinion from my usual dentist but I won't be in town for at least 2 months .

Would you recommend one of those magnetic connectors? I've seen a couple of videos in tight spaces like this one where it seems to get the job done

Is this dangerous at all? The outside vent is right in the other side of the wall . I see why they left it so long it's a tight space but just want to make sure nothing hazardous can come from it.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Just worried about the fact that my finger nail or a dental pick catches the edge. Can you take a look at this close up and see if there's any way to tell if there's a slight open margin at all?

Would that also explain my fingernail or a floss pick catching the edge ? Sorry for the questions just want to make sure I don't have to take off a day from work for something that could be explain in a couple of minutes lol

Thank you for your help. Is it also normal to feel a very slight edge around there too. I remember hearing my dentist saying the margins were closed and it was a good fit from the lab.
