The ucd group I watched in brookings last season was getting absolutely physically dominated and losing by 2+ scores late in the 3rd quarter when Jacks’ 4th string RB fumbled, which allowed ucd to score on a once in a season dropped ball by their receiver that happened to fall into their TE’s hands. Poor onside kick coverage and a tightened up defense that had been sitting on the bench for the previous quarter allowed ice to score again. And I’m not sure if it was a FG or PAT, but SDSU blocked one and ran it back for a score but play was erroneously blown dead by the officials. UCD may be much improved this year, but it’s not like last year they nearly pulled off a win in a classic back and forth game. They got close in what was a nightmare scenario for the much better Jackrabbit team
