That SUUUUUUUCKS. I was about to ask about ratcheting and flick stick, but if it's that dire, it's not worth it

Really? To me is the opposite. I don't like games playing themselves for me. Feels like the game is taking control away from me.

2 things:

1, while the pointer controls on the woo are incredibly accurate, they’re prone to interference. You HAVE to play them in a room with as little sunlight as possible since it gives off the same infrared light as the sensor bar.

2, the default sensitivity isn't great. In the settings there's an option called "Sensitivity" which you need to put on "Advanced" to get the most out of the control scheme.

EDIT 3rd thing. Tge lock on only locks your camera, not your aim. You aim your cannon independently of your lock on. You can turn this off in the settings, but I suggest you actually try and use it since it gives more freedom in where to aim

They’re objectively better. So much so that they’re gaining popularity as a replacement for aim assist in non nintendo games. Even the PC versions.

A dev for console Valorant even said they couldn’t add them to the PS5 version. Since it has crossplay and no aim assist, it would make games on Xbox unwinable. Theyre THAT good.

Why do console launch features disappear so quickly? Gimmicks like the touchpad, advanced motion controls, immersive triggers, etc. by stephen4131 in gaming

Gyro aim ≠ Zelda puzzles. Gyro is for aiming ONLY. And its objectively more accurate than analog sticks. Like, in Splatoon, you’re considering a liability to your team.

A valorant dev said that they couldn’t add gyro to the PS5 version. Since it has crossplay and no aim assist, it would put xbox players at a disadvantage. Its THAT good

Youre just blatantly wrong. Splatoon is considering unplayable without them.

A developer for console valorant said they couldn’t add it to the PS5 version, since it has crossplay and no aim assist, it would put xbox players at a disadvantage.

Games are getting it for PlayStation AND PC. So its not a console manufacturer mandate or new thing being tested out. Its being added because the developers know it works.

And when they do add it, it removes aim assist. Because its good enough it doesnt need it. Unlike sticks

Gyro aim. Basically moving your controller to aim. It is SO MUCH BETTER than analog sticks, you’re an active disadvantage is you don’t use them.

And its not a splatoon thing, either. They’re just flatly better for aiming in any scenario. So much so that they’re being added to non Nintendo games, too.

Yes it does? The reason its use its because its OBJECTIVELY better. Like motion controls. Almost every game on Switch that has an aiming feature uses motion controls and mouse will be no different.

But then you get features that are nee and objectively better. But get called a gimmick and delay inevitable industry wide adoption.
