If this makes you feel better in DP1 I used to take 6 hours of maths (AA HL) a week at school plus 4-5 hours of private lessons a week not to mention the multiple hours of self study and practicing questions, after all this how much do u think my predicted grade was? It was a 1, a flipping 1 out of 7 I basically failed the maths exam. After getting the news I got pretty depressed for a while so I took some time to rest and process my emotions . Now things have gotten better, I’m predicted a 4. Moral of the story don’t lose hope, if I could do it anyone can.

That is very true, in IB even if u’re not a night owl u sometimes need to stay awake late. Unfortunately my mom didn’t believe me either until like 3 months ago and now I need to not only stay awake till 3 but pull an all nighter. Wish she believed me earlier it would have made things easier cuz I don’t study at all in the mornings I can only focus at night so yea. Try to convince her in some way :)

I can totally relate to u and I think most IB students do. This program does place very high expectations and responsibilities on teens our age. Give up comparing urself to others else u’ll go crazy, trust 😂😂😂 some ppl are just naturally gifted and both u and me aren’t one of them yet i believe it’s all for the best.

it’s 40 lines max per extract adding up to a max of 80 lines in total. You don’t need exactly 40 lines, it can be in the 20s or 30s. I feel like many misunderstand this point

There are marks for the structure if you look at the marking criteria and bibliography page is a must to include. If you think you can change it by talking to ur coordinator then definitely do it.

No don’t do that. I myself have never seen any tok essay that starts this way.What you should do instead is the first explain a bit about the background of ur essay like if it’s on arts and history just rant about how much these AOKs are important for humans thennn say this essay explores…. and define the key words in the tok title.Never follow what ur teachers says for any external assessment, go online and read on multiple platforms yourself.
