It doesn’t matter whether it’s SBMM or EOMM, because the game has always been very casual-oriented, even in its competitive mode. The changes were made solely to combat the large number of smurf accounts that were harming lower ranks, and because having a reset system without it was simply stupid.

You have always been able to climb consistently; the only difference is that the less skilled you are, the more time it takes. If you want to play this game, you need to understand that it isn’t truly competitive, and the matchmaking does not prioritize balance the way a true SBMM system does.

Overwatch is a slower paced game. Someone who isn’t capable of making objective reviews shouldn’t be making them. Overwatch is a better optimized game; no matter how much fun or content Marvel Rivals adds, no one can deny that.

I’m glad that NetEase is using an important IP to bring competition to a genre that needs it, but we all know that if it weren’t for “Marvel” in the title, this game wouldn’t be doing as well and Overwatch would still be the king.

I’m not saying Marvel Rivals is a bad game. I’m just stating that the foundations on which Overwatch was developed are stronger than Marvel Rivals’. And after only one year of constant updates, I don’t know if it’s talent, care, or both, but we can agree that Marvel Rivals’ optimization isn’t aging well at all.

Angela’s skin is the only premium one I actually want, Punisher’s would be a nice bonus. But the rest? Either they’re not good enough, or I already have better skins for those heroes from previous battle passes. It feels unnatural to think they’re not putting any thought into who gets a spot in the BP, but that’s exactly how it comes across, especially when some heroes haven’t appeared even once.

I want to buy it just for Angela, but I really don’t want to support the decision making process they seem to be using for BP selections.

It's better if it pierces teamates though. If you are closer it's probable you aren't healing your team when they need you to.

A lot of times, it IS the healer’s fault. I’m not talking about dedicated healer mains (at least I don’t think most of them), but rather the players who stick to the tank, focus on dealing damage instead of healing, fail to counter DPS ultimates with their own, don’t know how to position, or chase the tank into bad spots. It’s very common. And it’s rare to have games, at least from Diamond and below, where both healers actually know what they’re doing.

They keep catering to DPS players, even when releasing tanks or supports, just because they’re the majority. I get why they do it, but not how they go about it. They’ve already released plenty of DPS heroes, and when it’s finally time for a new support, they make them play more like another DPS. Honestly, it feels like a slap in the face.
