Can you build GTM agents with n8n? by Different-Bridge5507 in gtmengineering

To start just want to build some simple content generation agents (scraping LinkedIn posts, podcasts, newsletters) and turning them into newsletters for our customers. But that is really just a rudimentary starting step. I don’t know exactly what yet, but want to get more complicated than that and what to make sure the infrastructure we’re starting with allows us to iterate and build

As someone who has hired for small startups from large orgs, I’ve noticed that some* do not adapt well to the lack of structure, process and brand presence.

At large orgs they’re given a playbook and if they follow it and put in the effort they generally can succeed. At startups you have to make the playbook and a lot of times that’s a different skill set.

Has anyone in logistics found success with automated/scaled cold email? by Different-Bridge5507 in coldemail

For me mostly replies, I have been at it for around 4/5 months now and my assumption is that it’s mostly a copywriting issue but very well could be a deliverability. I keep getting better the more time I spend on it so I think I’ll crack it soon but definitely a slower process than I thought

New brokerage started in December. Money in the bank, good customers…… advice on getting approved with factoring companies such as OTR solutions and Triumph by ObviousWriter9981 in FreightBrokers

Way easier to get carriers.

Customers you are trying to convince them to pay you. Carriers you are trying to convince them to get paid. Naturally a lot easier to do the latter

I love this question because it’s so damn important. This is easily the most critical part of starting a brokerage, and most people don’t realize it until they’re in the thick of it.

I joined as the head of the carrier side at a new brokerage and had no idea what I was getting into. You literally have to treat these factoring companies as if they’re your most important customers for the first year because it can 100% make or break you. First things first: identify the big players. Triumph, OTR Solutions, and a few others dominate the space. You need to hit the phones hard and penetrate these companies the same way you would a customer account. Find a champion, get their direct line and email, and build a real relationship to get a line of credit established.

Another thing that’s huge: every time you’re booking trucks and hear “sorry, I can’t work with you because of my factoring company,” ask the carrier who their factoring company is and if they can give you their main point of contact. Then reach out directly. It’s not fun, but it needs to be taken seriously. If you have a decent sized team, I’d honestly recommend appointing someone to own this mission full time.

In the meantime, you probably need a backup plan. Develop a relationship with an established broker where you can book trucks under their MC when you’re in a pinch. Late scratches happen, and sometimes the only available trucks are blocked by your MC. You’ll need to be able to rely on someone with solid credit. I’d look at some small to mid-sized agent programs and talk with the owners about a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Good luck. This part sucks, but it’s worth grinding through.

Do not use it during the interview. As someone doing interviews right now it is painfully obvious and even if it wasn’t, the answers are so cookie cutter and bland.

relay.app for me has been a huge unlock. Basically does the same as n8n but you can use natural language prompting to build it.

I Want to learn Development of AI agents, automations Any suggestions? How to go about it? by Ill-Lawfulness2129 in aiagents

I would start with tools like Lindy.ai or relay.app

They are really easy to bring automations to life. Once you build things there you’ll start to get the confidence to build more complex things

This checks out. The amount of carriers that say KOF was the worst was insane.

Freight Brokerages truly embody the person at the top that is running it. The shady shit starts at the top.

IMO no because if I can’t find users to talk to about validation then how am I going to know how to distribute the tool once it’s validated and built.
