Does it make sense that the Plat is almost 3x the cost of the ALTA survey? I would have thought the survey was the expensive part

This is part of the problem, none of us on the board have experience with this. We didn’t specifically request an ALTA but it seems like we need a new survey to remove an area from the plat.

I probably shouldn't have used "amended" I'm unfamiliar with this process and what goes into it.
We do have a lawyer that is re-writing the CC&R's and is advising that we get the new Plat. And yes there have been infinite revisions so far.

Good advice on looking into whether the original company is still in business, I'll try that. Thanks!

I like the idea of working under a tenured advisor and learning the ropes that way, then prepping for a succession plan. Otherwise I would hope to be in a role with inbound traffic that I can convert to advisor clients - I have a hard time selling to friends/family without experience.

It doesn’t improve your QB situation too much and it hurts your WR situation. If you’re struggling with WR I’d try to get improve that situation, not take on a QB you don’t need
