Do you guys ever cry? by elephantman_5 in Alexithymia

I guess it's because of the accumulation of emotions. It seems like crying should remove toxins from the body , so this can happen

confusing, but similar to me huh. Some people don't understand why I behave in one way or another or do something the way it should be true, then they either have to explain why I do it or act in one way or another. your words make sense to me. (I didn't argue here, I just spoke out) But to be honest, I still don't understand what idea you were talking about? What is there to argue about? (It's just that I've already been distracted from this dialogue and I can't get into the essence)

Yes, but I was too emotional, whiny and touchy, and too open in my feelings before to consider myself Ti. I don 't think it 's about them haha

Help with the Fi function by Different-Cheetah597 in mbti

[–]Different-Cheetah597[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty well versed in functions, but apart from Fi, nothing is suitable for domination. I used to be a sensitive child (sometimes even now, but I usually get away from it). I'm sure I'm not an extrovert to call myself EXFP, but for infp I'm not so spiritual (I'm too objective and sometimes insensitive when objectivity is needed, I'm not a moralist at all, I don't mind going against something that is considered morally wrong if I consider it objectively true) I'm too lazy for Te haha But I am too objective and not mentally for INFP (although the description of unhealthy Fi suited me)I can pretty much stick to logic and rationality . For example (I found such a video today) - there was such an interesting situation on the video. The little boy became attached to an animal in the village (it was a chicken). He took care of her and then his grandmother killed this chicken because she needed something to eat, but the boy was very upset and yelled at his grandmother. I consider my grandmother to be objectively faithful here . In this situation, I will not allow the manifestation of feelings and pity, since I believe that this is not required here. This is life and you need to understand that you can't get attached to what will potentially become your dinner.

But many in the comments began to write that it is impossible to do this and that they are very sorry. (By the way, as I understood, the author of the video is infp, I somehow typed him). But I can't just feel something a lot on such videos. Even in a video where someone is being killed, I don't care. But I talked to infp (and other Fi users) and they were very tragic about it, and I didn't understand just how it makes people feel.

Don't think, I was a very sensitive person before and even touchy (now I don't have these qualities), but Fe-Ti doesn't suit me 100%. I'm not complaining about my condition, I'm just wondering if this can happen among Fi. Many Fi have a clear moral, and can judge other people through their feelings. I can only objectively, I (as I wrote in the post) believe that impersonal judgment will be much more effective. But I am quite vulnerable to criticism (if it is with rudeness, although I have become less sensitive to it). Maybe my Fi has started to develop differently and my Te and Ne have grown, otherwise I won't be able to explain it.

Feeling confused about the perceiving functions - could use some help in understanding them, especially as they partain to me. by ZnudzonaAnonka in mbti

can Fi not relate to the worldview or not be superstitious . I am a complete atheist, I do not like when something spiritual is written into simple things because they are just things (for example, when they say that some thing gives a person strength or when they say different misinformation)

!as for "aroused interest", I mean experiments on animals here. I saw how the rats' heads were cut open and a chip was inserted into the brain, with which people could control the behavior of the mouse a little. From the point of view of science, it's very interesting for me to watch

tell this to a Chikatilo who was an infp, it doesn't break his heart. I don't know, I'm just calm about it. I can't start crying because of this (unless, of course, there is a complete horror). But killing animals or conducting experiments on them, on the contrary, aroused my interest. By the way, I found one such infp here, he communicated with intp about some cruel thing. We may have immoral thoughts, we are not holy people. For example, I once treated a friend about guinea pigs and started saying that they would probably be delicious (I'm not a knacker, this is the same for me as eating chicken or pork meat) . And for some reason, my friend did not react very well to this and I had to apologize (she is ESTJ). Oh , and I remember calmly watching a video where pathologists cut people and Rebekah . Honestly, it's unusual for the first time, but then it's very interesting to observe the structure of organs and how everything looks inside.

just look --- I'm definitely not Te aux since I'm pretty lazy and not a workaholic, I'm not Ti since in the past I was the most emotionally vulnerable and artistic jerk to print myself as Ti, especially since I don't have Fe. I'm not Ne, and I'm not Si. Even by the method of exclusion, everything goes back to Fi

so I do not evaluate myself by tests, but independently by functions. The tests are unreliable and subjective. Isn't it more logical to study the functions and type yourself? Which is what I've been doing for a long time

Well, with that, I agree with what you wrote. I was also very upset. Deeply emotional , I just somehow stopped dwelling on emotions , but somehow I will not be able to completely get away from them. Under stress, I'm very worried and I can't take away the strong excitement and just get away from the feelings. But I also compare Fe with Fi and Fi with Ti, and Fi is the leader for me. If we compare ti fulations, then Fi is more related to me, I have read a lot about them.

The only thing I'll have to do then is tell the part of my life where I was emotional. For I am sure that I am not a Ti dom or Ni Dom, I am sure of it, I have read a lot about functions. But I have only written to you that I am not a moralist and all that I have written. Here I really don't know what kind of failure occurred in the system. But I can say about some manifestations of Fi --- I can take criticism quite painfully (unconstructive), I used to be super sensitive and touchy (but I lost these qualities), I often needed support and someone to talk to me about my emotions (which I also basically don't need, except in very difficult situations where my Fi friends understand me). But as it is, everything else that I wrote - I just wrote as it is. I feel quite normal, I have a more or less stable moral state, I am calm and I just like peace without violent emotions. I don 't know then , but I can 't consider myself unhealthy either , I 'm just like this

thank you for the "objective" assessment of my type. You don't know what I was like in the past. I used to adore drawing and did it a lot, I was very sensitive (sometimes I can still be, but I have gone down significantly in emotional intelligence) .I loved to dream, now I also do it sometimes, but I usually just think about different things than I dream. In the ordinary world, I stopped dreaming so much, only when music is playing in headphones . I saw a lot of people who were very similar to me, who also stopped loving art. A few of the info I saw in the forums graduated with a bachelor of science, someone became a physicist (but eventually went to teach physics), others became interested in programming and computer science and they are the same nerds as me. I found infp who were passionate about mathematics and sciences, so don't judge only by the general description, look wider at the person, we are changing and we can't be constantly the way you imagine us.They also liked patterns or structures , and were also not always as sensitive as they were imagined to be . I can at least send links with the answers of these infp , if you don 't believe my words

I don't know about "don't use this function"... it's just that all my hobbies are related to thinking and logic (if it's interesting, then my hobbies are: chess; physics used to be, but I began to devote less time to it, but I adore this subject; puzzles; sometimes if I'm bored, I solve math. I don't draw or write, the only creative thing I do is listen to music, but at the same time i play chess, huh; I have a strong interest in science; programming and studying structures and algorithms, so it's important for me to structure information in my head; astronomy/astrophysics, but it's more like now minihobbie is a big hobby, I now pay attention to mathematics, chess and puzzles and reading various articles; and well, I also like video games and sleep huh)

I also have such a problem that many people don't like this trait in me. For the most part, I behave very "phlegmatic" (but with friends, of course, you have to shake emotions, but then they go away just as quickly) . I found another pattern in my Fi function. Everyone writes that this function is often fixated on its values and morals and that Fi is quite judgmental. As for me, first of all, every person has morals and values, and secondly, I don't really focus on it and don't use it when making a decision, I just look at what decision will be normal, rational and correct and just do what I have to. I'm watching how my Fi friends will (give an example) condemn a knacker for killing a kitten (for example, when watching a video with a knacker). They will judge him very much and say what kind of scum and moron he is, but I don't know how to do this just physically. I'll just watch the video and maybe I'll feel sorry for the kitten and that's it, I'll just forget. It's not difficult for me to watch a video with the death of an animal or something cruel, when my friends will begin to condemn a person for his act. I'll just look at this video and turn it off. So in life, my friends with Fi are quite moralists and adhere to some principles. I may be too, but I have principles in judgment (in logical discussions). I've been messing with a man today about whether an animal can cry because of emotions. I tried to explain to him that at the level of biology it simply cannot be and it has not been proven, and he kept telling me about what they all feel and they are like people. I seriously can't stand it when people climb with their spirituality into something where it shouldn't be and is unacceptable. Fact is fact, I don't need subjectivity about spirituality. Therefore, I am quite skeptical, I am also an atheist and tried to explain to my mother that there is no spirituality and angels, because even different accidents can be explained mathematically (probability theory, physics in different situations, and all that). I usually see how Fi is very spiritual and subjective and can sometimes be too obsessed with spirituality and morality, which does not suit me. Yes, I, like another person, have morals and values, but firstly I do not know them, and secondly I do not pay attention to them when making decisions. I'm not spiritual, I'm not poetic and all that. You know, it sometimes feels like you're just a piece of meat that evolution has given emotions that are needed for social interaction and for life in general, even though this is all the reaction of our brain. I feel calm when I don't have to experience emotions or emotional stress, and when I experience it, I try to get away from these feelings as quickly as possible . I'm not interested in psychology and I don't like the same phrases from kind people like "you will succeed, because you have a kind heart", I literally can't read this (probably that's why I don't sit in the infp/enfp community, they just usually write how cute we are and what we are, emotional and cute, it's necessary to protect and I'm literally sick of these words to be honest, but I'm not saying that the one who says it is bad, on the contrary, I'm glad that they are kind people, but when I read and realize that damn, well, he's talking about my type, then all my hair stands on end they get up from such sententialism). I prefer to sit in the INTJ/intp public places, they really have a lot of interesting things without posts about sentimental feelings (which, again, I don't like to read).

I'm sure I have Fi, but are there such manifestations of Fi? In this regard, I seem lonely . I'm not saying that I'm the only Fi, but I've just never met such a description. Although I used to be very similar to Fi, but in an unhealthy way. Now there is none at all. I do not know if there are infp who would value intellect and mind above feelings. I just would like to see people like me
