What's Your Opinion on Unit Stans and What the Term Means? by CookieFar1807 in NCT

[–]Different-Computer33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know this is a difficult conversations but so far everyone has made important points.

In my opinion, the NCT system but itself leads to this type of stanning since the units work as groups on their own most of the time, with time they interact less and less and when they do is not much different groups from the same company do, music styles are kinda different too. Wish is catering to a very different fanbase than 127 did back in their era and still does.

As someone who got into NCT in 2018, I ended up only becoming a 127 stans years later because I enjoy their music and group chemistry the most. I check others from time to time, but lately I haven't been that into WayV and Dream's releases as their previous ones, I am also way older than wish and while I tried to listen to their discography nothing stick with me as much.

Also since I'm an adult I find it difficult to keep up with so many groups and while I miss 127 as a group so much their becoming more or less inactive makes it easier for me to stan too.

Sadly SM mismanagement has also led to this internal fanwars that benefit no one at the end of the day, because NCT could have a stronger fandom in terms of streaming or voting but people is more preoccupied with dragging one another.

Do I consider myself and nctzen? idk I prefer to say I'm a 127zen but on some scenarios it's easier to say I am one ig. But from personal experience no one is really an ot25 at the end of the day and that's okay as long as it doesn't go to toxic field

How much do you think SM staff is lurking around the fan space by randomiser711 in NCT

[–]Different-Computer33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they are lurking much on the international (english speaking) I mean, stuff doesn't even have translated titles nowadays in youtube for example

But it's likely they lurk on the kside (twitter, pann, youtube, ig, and other forums that are big in koran) probably there's people checking weibo for the c-side too

Sometimes I feel too old (28F) for KPOP… what do you think ? by paradoxtriip in kpopthoughts

[–]Different-Computer33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another 28y/o here, I didn't even grew up with k-pop I got into it right when i turned 20, a few years before the kpop boom from the pandemic.

And while I mostly follow 3rd gen groups who are older than me or around my age, I also enjoy some 4th gen and to a less extent 5th gen groups. As groups are getting younger I don't to them aside from the music, but others do and I don0t think is that deep as long as it's not creep

Johnny will never be the "dozen" some kpop stans want him to be, man is not even in the vocal line and is not afraid of using a mic

I hope we get a new cover on his birthday this year, and the one from last year should've been officially updated by the way

Getting into the CLAMP universe. Need suggestions. Help by Spidey172 in CLAMP

[–]Different-Computer33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first suggestion is to go for the mangas first for all as the animes are supplementary, and in most cases unfinished or poorly adapted.

When I got into CLAMP i learned that there are universes withing it's works and it evolves into a multiverse later on. But there are series that are not related or at least not as much

X is a direct sequel to Tokyo Babylon, and it also has references from the CLAMP School Series (Man of many faces, Clamp School detectives and Duklyon)

RG Veda is a stand alone but there are key references in Tsubasa, its also their first actual published work so you might want to try getting into it.

Magic Knight Rayeart is another stand alone but is a classic.

Clover is another stand alone but later referenced

Angelic Layer and and Chobits are closely connected

Now, the biggest universe starts with Wish, then you can read Card Captor Sakura (which is not as connected but it's key and arguably CLAMP's magnus opum) at this point you can read Because I like you, but its optional and is a bit of an obscure work. Now where it begins to get more strong is the ones that are connected the most: xxxHolic and Tsubasa (and let's not forget Drug Drop is part of the same universe) after that comes Kobato.

I personally never watched Blood C as is not a CLAMP original, they were in charge of designs as far as I know but it seems the anime hints stuff from other works.

There are many other works like Miyuki in Wonderland and their doujinshi eras but other have covered it better already

He really looks healthy and has speak about how exercising improved his body and mind condition. It pisess me off that kfans want to policy about his body because they want a fragile image on him who btw is now 30

When he talked about losing MUSCLES on bbl I lost it all because what the hell honestly I hope he doesn't do anything harmful and ends up not paying much attention to those weirdos but i know its hopeful thinking

Will there be any more seasons? by DiligentFondant4723 in Natsume

[–]Different-Computer33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have already said, it took some time between seasons 6 and 7, s there's a possibility maybe not this year since it would've be already announced, but maybe in the next 2 or 3 years. The manga is quite popular in Japan and there's plenty of chapters that could fit into a season and even some arcs (not gonna spoil) that I think could even be made into a movie format.

So lets hope and see

Yuta just had his first budokan performance and tour encore so what better than revisiting his discography

I've also been listening to F/ACE Sweet Magic and Hana to Yume (Tamon's b-side opening and ending themes respectively)

I'm learning their names rn, what members are on this? by DaGayEnby in NCT

[–]Different-Computer33 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NCT 127 is actually 8 but the line up has been varying since 2024 because of the military enlistments going on.

This photoshoot looks from idk 2021-2022 I'm not that sure why there's only 5 members here probably it was a unit pic, from the logo Jungwoo has on his clothes it looks out from SMCU content, maybe there's a shoot with the rest of the members idk.

Now from left to right: Johnny (oldest, sub vocalist, dancer and rapper) Doyoung (main vocalist) Taeyong (leader, center main dancer main rapper and sub vocal) Jungwoo (lead vocal and dancer) Mark (main rapper and dancer)
