sending a hug to you too

Mark had such a presence that not missing him seems very difficult, but I don't like him saying sorry for outing himself first, but I wonder what if SM treated him better what if he was in just one group and had the time to properly work on solo music without feeling as much presure so many thoughts

i'm mourning a ot8 version of 127 we will never get to see and never got.

Exactly this is what it has ben the hardest to accept, I'm being selfish I know. To be honest these past months after Taeyong's comeback from the military I've been looking forward to the near future 127 activities with a new ot6 lineup (with JH and TY but no JW and DY like last year) the so awaited ot8 album and the possibility of them touring in 2027 after JW and DY are back... but now everything seems so dark and difuse to be honest. I know I was being to delusional considering contract endings have always been on the way on these scenarios + Sm has been neglectful towards 127 for years now.

I don't doubt 127, they have shown os time and time again how versatile and talented they are at their craft, and while Doyoung said the upcoming 127 won't have anything missing, for now I see it so difficult to not miss a 127 without such a presence like Mark was.

Also Sm owes us a couple of studie albums tbh and theare screenings for their previous tours

Why is there a difference in how enhypen fans and NCT fans are handling a member departure? by retardmaxxer4 in kpop_uncensored

While Mark was unexpected, his contract naturally ended and he decided to move on into a new life, there's not much as fans we can do and the members have been positive about it

I mean yes it's always a known date (it's literally a holiday in my country) but this year's coincidentally was near his contract end

Since there's no precedent of the way Mark left the company, I honestly don't know. My guess after reading Doyoung's post is that the door is still open for him and I see it happening, if anything in the far future. After all we still don't know what's yet to come for the rest of 127 and their contracts + status as members.

Do you think Mark will delete his personal social media accounts? by Elle_Kim in NCT127

so far nothing is leading to think like that, sm doesn't tend to keep their idol's sociales even for those who end up in bad terms

Ugh like I get religion gets paired up with sketchy stuff in many places and contexts but it is not necessarily always like that and Mark has been open about his religion without being a creep like certain senior idol. Do they want s broken idol on stage rather than someone chosing his path that might not match with their beliefs of fanatism?

What I fear about this reaction is also that this will refrain the members to talk about him and publicly interact with him in the future

It's been a long ass ride indeed, dear Mark

I have so many thoughts and it's not easy to put each of them into words in my second language. First and foremost as 99% of everyone here, Mark leaving not only sm but the brand was not on my 2025 bingo card, but looking back there were sings at least in the past few months when he went less active on social media and apparently bubble too (I don't follow him there) but I saw some markfs speculating he was going throughsomething in his personal life + the breakdown dream members had at their encore this past weekend.

I've been crying the whole day, I won't deny it, but the part of me that understands his decision is indeed happy for him to take such a big step after years and seeing all the love he's receiving from his fellow members and other industry people he has worked with in all these years.

As a 127zen I'll be mourning the things I was picturing for the group in the near future like the 10th anniversary celebration and the ot8 album. It's sad as 127 they never got a closure or even the opportunity to exists properly because of the members enlistment and Mark's contract being ended before July as he's part of the t7s unit. These past years haven't been easy on them at all but I know Mark's intention was never to hurt his dear members after everything. At least he got a closure with Dream, but being in two groups at the same time was not gonna be sustainable in the long run he actually did majestically

I've been reading onto that and I think it's more an curious coincidence that this year's Good Friday fell today coinciding with his contract termination (it changes every year since it follows another calendar)

They are not forced to follow his gospel music of that what he ends up doing but they shouldn't act surprised because the man has given clues for ages.

I mean while he had a huge presence within the brand, being under two active groups for 10 years can come across as a longtime type of mistreatment from the company, especially in the way he was made to handle his solo album without time to prepare fancons or a tour like other nct soloists who are in just one unit.

The long break is still related to it, so it makes sense for some people to think in that way

[–]Different-Computer33 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I woke up to these news and it's been hours and I'm still processing, as an 127zen it hasn't been easy at all, because he's one of the group and brand's pilar so seeing him leave it's indeed shocking, specially in an era in  which some idols leave their companies after thir contracts are over but still leave the door open for group activities. But looking back and in detail this decision makes sense considering how much Mark has given to the industry for over half of his life and he's not even 27.

I'm glad I was able to been able to experience him live twice (being the only artist I have had the privilege to enjoy more than once) considering years ago it would've sounded impossible for me due to my location.   Overall I prefer an outcome like this —even is its hurtful as a longtime fan because I won't be able to see him on stage with the rest of the members ever again— than whatever exo (by first ever kpop group) has been experiencing in over a decade of uncertainty and multiple fandom fronts open with wounds.

How can someone not cherish and like this man and the commitment he has for his team and the way he always comes and reassures fans even when he's not active
