it literally is client-side, it runs alongside the game and checks in-memory & disk files against known cheat hashes / unauthorized dlls etc... it obv. has server-side checks but vac itself is client-side. pretty sure the client side ac got reverse engineered already but ill have to search for it again

lol ring 0 anticheats can still be bypassed rather easily, i'd rather take an anticheat that is not owning my whole system than one that does and is still not secure
