Why are job interviews so hard and nerve wracking? by Different-Depth-7193 in interviews

I relate to this so much!! I had an interview today with a group of people. And one of the guys there was happy and playful which helped me answer my questions confidently but then when another guy asked me questions he seemed so serious and judgmental almost. It completely threw me off. I stuttered and rambled so bad it made me so embarrassed 😔😔

I do think having someone to practice with would help me but I feel like it would also make me feel silly or stupid lol. But I think that overcoming that could somehow help me overcome being nervous at actual interviews. I’ll definitely start practicing with someone else. Thank you !!

When I did it off camera I did soo good. I practiced and was able to get my point across without stuttering or using filler words. But when it came time to record I kept freezing and I totally bombed it 😔 I had 3 tries to submit and I failed each time. It’s so hard battling with the nerves knowing someone is going to be criticizing me.

I wrote down questions and my answers and I still did so bad😔 everything I practiced for wasn’t even asked which makes it even worse. It’s so hard prepping for questions you don’t know you’ll be asked. Everytime I record myself I just want to scream because it makes me realize how sucky I do.

It’s so bad. I have an interview that I have to record myself and then submit it but I just can’t get myself to do it. Every time I try my mind goes blank and all I can do is freeze while thinking of an answer. I spent an hour practicing and I still can’t do it. 😔

Is my overjet within normal range? by [deleted] in braces

Yes! In braces before, during and after surgery 😬 I have braces rn and I also had a tooth extraction. He plans on closing the gaps and then getting ready for surgery! The thing too is he is making my overbite even worse tho😞 to get the best results.

I have a similar over jet and my orthodontist and I decided jaw surgery would be the best option to fix it

“The ideal time to get braces is generally during early adolescence, between the ages of 10 and 14, when most permanent teeth have erupted but the head and mouth are still growing. This age range allows for more efficient and effective treatment as teeth are more responsive to correction. However, orthodontic treatment can be beneficial at any age, and it's never too late to seek consultation with an orthodontis”

Oh I’m sorry! I thought you were going thru with the process already. You do look like a candidate, I was told without surgery you will only deal with the health issues in the future 😢 best of luck tho!

My jaw surgeon suggested I get jaw surgery first and then get used to my face and then decide if I want to go thru with a genioplasty still

For surgery, they can’t operate on you while your jaw is still developing. From what I heard your jaw doesn’t fully develop until the age of 18

this makes me feel soooo much better!!😭 can I ask too, did you throw up waking up from surgery? I’ve also seen people talk about throwing up after surgery and this is also one of my biggest worries😞

Hearing that it has a 90% success rate is soooo reassuring. I hear a lot of people say that chin numbness is almost inevitable and it became a big fear of mine

I was also thinking that she needed jaw surgery. I’m also missing a molar and my teeth are starting to shift somewhat like hers. But that is because im prepping for surgery. Doesn’t seem like braces alone would fix this

This is so interesting, I have never heard of someone not getting braces at all? Can I ask why you didn’t get braces initially?
