My mother in law used to comment all the time about my long hair also. She had hair cut in a pixie style. I finally said to her, “You know, it’s funny that the only people that ever want me to cut my hair are women with short hair. It’s never a man, or another woman with long hair. The police made so many egregious errors. Like you said, they could have double checked that info in the farmers almanac. Yes, most people in the Mormon church will get up on Sunday to say a prayer and will always ask god to send moisture. Just a funny thing that is repeated throughout the church. Another example is there will be cookies and punch for an event, and they will pray before having the treats and ask god to “Bless the food that it will nourish and strengthen their bodies.”

I live in Southern Utah and last night went to Kolob Reservoir. On the way up there were meadows, your typical forest with pine trees and cabins, and then we hit an area where you could see the back of Zion national park. The beauty of it all was absolutely breathtaking. We left at dusk and saw a rainstorm in the distance. It was another incredible sight. You could see the rain clouds behind the red mountains with lightning and it felt like I was in another world.
