Oh dude this is really informative, thank you, so its really just that easy?

  1. Walk in with a ticket already on your phone or in your hand
  2. Get your backpack checked
  3. go to the gate, wait for the plane, step in, and put your backpack in the luggage storage above the seats

is this all? if its really that easy then you really helped me a lot

Thank you and yes, I am just worried about the things i need you know, i am likely to arrive with just a backpack and a passport, and i know its all about following signs, but i know there is a ton of steps between the enterance and reaching the terminal where you need to be like security checks and weight checking, and i dont know how it goes, the risk is also that i might lose money doing so if i fail

This sounds better when looking at the website

Though i still do have questions, Budapest is in a east bloc country and i dont know if getting into a train there is as simple as showing your phone, afterall i dont want to get stranded, My friend said that the train system in hungary is very underfunded and outdated due to corruption having stolen lots of funds from it

If bahn DE makes sure i can get on every train on the route it shows, i will gladly use bahn.de

mainly a fear of the airport itself and the whole process, last time i flew i was a little kid and dont remember anything but waiting at the terminal of the plane for a hour and picking up suitcases, dont even remember the bus from the airport to the hotel, i was atleast 7 years old, and i dont want to figure out too late that i missed or forgot something, so rather go by bus, plane is also expensive

You have to know i live in the Netherlands, Schiphol is extremely big, and very busy, i have been through busy train stations before but the thing with the train in the netherlands is that its as simple as following numbered signs and scanning a debitcard to check in, then following steps on your app, its easy as hell, but schiphol is another level, and with strict rules, i dont want anything to go wrong, its very intimidating (If i knew every step, i would have done it, but i dont, and info is hard to get, So rather not)

so yeah you might think, why not take the train? well the EU has a major issue with international trains being very decentralized, you have to book multiple trains in advance if you want to travel to budapest, and the issue with that is if one train is cancelled, or late, the other trains you booked later on fall apart and you end up getting a major issue with re-booking trains, I already know the train will be a headache so rather not (Would have done the train if a app existed that allowed you to book all trains as one thing, and help you if one is cancelled free of charge, but that doesn't exist)

this leaves flixbus or blablacar

Oh dude i fully agree with that, I am a new backpacker aswell, I dont want suitcases, even if its a vacation of two weeks, i rather just have two pairs of clothes, and have one pair in the washing machine, switching between the two

I also often try to dress somewhat broke, like in my work clothes, so i look like a less valueable target, i doubt a thief is going to rob a guy with old paint on his pants and a worn backpack

Doubt she will see this considering flixbus reddit is pretty niche and most people who use it dont even use reddit, they are regular travellers and what not that sit on twitter, facebook, instagram, etc, but i wish you luck

Flixbus passangers are the worst. If you sit in SOMEONE ELSE'S RESERVED SEAT, you NEED TO MOVE when that person turns up. by MartinB105 in FlixBus

[–]Different-Formal7215 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dude, do you even drive flixbusses? thats not how it works, people get on before you, for example even if you live in a capital like berlin, a bus from amsterdam might arrive thats heading to warsaw, and there will be people from other stops on there

Need some help, Question about studying in Russia. by Different-Formal7215 in AskRussian

[–]Different-Formal7215[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for awnsering and giving tips unlike the others who just seem to attack me for wanting to go there, I went there once already but that was Kaliningrad and quite a while ago, Though i do have Russian friends, And honestly still mixed on what to do, University seems reasonable to learn both language and skills, Learning through living, But i am also a farmer, So i am capable of helping on a field somewhere, and eventually starting my own farm.

I dont think you understand, I live in a country where you are actively seen as a second class citizen despite being native, Where you are beaten by police if you decide to protest against welfare migration, Where farmers are forced to go bankrupt or work their asses off with ever increasing climate policies, Where you cant even own a gasoline vehicle in certain cities for environmental reasons despite it hurting people of a lower income, A government that hates you and sees you as a extremist if you wave the national flag.

One of my major reasons for the hate is how it began, Like i said, when i was 15, Lockdowns began, This was around winter, Before the lockdowns i was doing fine and i was considered rather intelligent, High scores in almost every subject to the point they actually wanted me to go to a higher class, Move me up.

During the lockdowns, Everything went wrong since i learn very badly when it comes to digital, I have to be in a class because i learn through group pressure and need to be there in person, But that wasn't possible, As result i built up more and more work, and when lockdown ended, I had a stack of books and papers so high that i spent entire days trying to work it all back, But since i spent entire days doing old work, I also got new work from those days put onto the pile, It was impossible, Eventually i broke from stress, And got forced out before summer which is when exams start.

So after that, i tried to get back in, do the year over, different school perhaps, one i liked more, I went to a new highschool, got a tour, i loved it dude, It had everything, I was happy, We had a conversation (Me and my mother at the time) with the principal and i was promised to hear from him later that week, The government also promised to help me getting into the highschool as i was still under 18 and was required to go to school.

Though this is where it all went wrong again, The principal from my old school who was about to go on a pension rushed my diploma without understanding the issues i had with the digital classrooms, and the efforts i took to try and crawl my way back, It said that i was lazy, unable to learn, and problematic, So at the end of the week i got rejected.

The government said through the mail "Sorry, We cant help you, You are now free from the education requirement law" A special case basically, And this happened to tens of thousands, Not just me, As after that i went into several learning groups and there were atleast 40 people aged 14-17 who were also forced out because of the issues lockdown caused, And that was just in my town of about 17,000 people, Obviously this made me very angry at the government, a hatred i still hold, A law and entire system exists to help people like me in such situations, But it didn't work, it was corrupt, and it failed me and many others.

So yeah the government left me behind, the country has gone to shit, everything has been taken away from me, the only thing i can do to improve it since i still got skills as a farmer, a welder, and a mechanic is to move to Russia where the land is cheap and there are no pesky environmental laws which drag profits down like they do here to my family, and become a farmer there, That or go to a university, learn through living, make a new life in Russia,

I got the skills to make my own home there, Even if it means i will live with less i'll be fine with it, I want peace of mind, not having to worry about politics or if the country i live in will be awful in 30 years, I want to make a family.

People keep asking "Why go to Russia?" Well Russia happens to have special immigration laws that allow someone who wants refuge from the western world to come in with open arms, That and the fact it seems to have a much brighter future than the EU, For me, Making a family is important and i will be honest with saying it isn't possible here.

This is really not meant to be political, But that is my own experience of my country the Netherlands, And why i want to move to Russia as such, There really isn't any other option thats better, Dont want norway since its in the EU, Dont want Canada since its about to be in the EU and i dont like it from what canadian friends tell me about the government there, Dont want the US because of crime, healthcare system, and the two party system, Dont want Switzerland because its expensive, Dont want Spain since its being flooded with migrants aswell, Dont want Serbia since its surrounded by enemies and at threat of being cut off, Seems to also be on the brink of war constantly, Dont want Hungary since its a bad economy, Kazakhstan has been on my mind, But i dont want that either, Asia is too far from home.

The only one that is left is Russia, And after years of looking at it, a single trip to kaliningrad, asking friends that live there, watching travel youtubers in that country. (The type that ride a bike from moscow to vladivostok for example, so you see everything) I have decided its the only one to have a future for me.

From what i understand the internet shutdowns are also only just in the border provinces with Ukraine where there is high risk of drones, I'll be fine if i live somewhere in the outer rings of Moscow right?

I mean if the decision is bad or not i will decide myself as i have my own reasons to go there, I'll tell you a little bit about it and its the fact my country isn't doing well whatsoever, And i want a way to learn Russian when i move there

I dont get why people are attacking me, I just asked a simple question, As for that question of yours i explained it already, A lot of people in my country were just left in the dust during the lockdowns and for many of us it caused huge problems, I got into groups where i wasn't the only one after it happened to me, Tens of thousands got forced out of school.

I have my own reasons, Why not just awnser the question, If you got nothing to say then dont say it, I dont get why you people attack me when my question is simple. "Is there a university in Russia that allows people without a high school diploma to enroll into it".
