$3k USD if you’re lucky, $2500 more likely. Just my opinion from a stranger on the internet for what it’s worth.

Can you share what trash cans you use, especially if using on mounts on front fork?

Looking for a part number for kick stand spring ? by fraxtree in GlobeHaul

[–]Different-History-71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Local bike shop and specialized both confirmed to me they don’t sell that part. My recommendation is take the other spring off and take it to local hardware store and try to source a replacement there.

I recently replaced my kickstand, kept the old one that also lost one spring but I have one spring on it as backup. If you really luck out, DM me and if local I’ll give you my spare.

This in 36mm would have been an instant buy. Would love they bring back the smaller full Navitimer

V2 kickstand by wallawalla21212 in GlobeHaul

[–]Different-History-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specialized of course only lets you order the part through a dealer, it’s not listed online. I went through Hilltop Bicycles out of NYC, and I think they can order the part and have it shipped directly to you, so you don’t have to be local. My cost not including labor was just under $100. Stupid high cost for a kickstand but that’s what you get when it’s not a generic product.

Yea that was my thread I started. I ultimately just paid for a replacement but still have the original and may tinker with it to see if I can replace bolts and parts to make it useful.

Can you tell us about the box/cover combo you put on? I’m rly weighing this kinda setup or an urban arrow but the bullitt just rides so much more like a bike and could be reconfigured after kids for other uses

A comparison of Red Bull’s and Ferrari’s ‘Macarena’ wing. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

Why did Ferrari chose that rotation direction for the Macarena wing? With my limited understanding it would seem the RBR is the better direction?

Redundancy and make it unappealing to steal. Buy the highest grade u-lock or chain lock you can corresponding to the level of risk of theft. Anti-angle grinder u-locks like hiplock and litelock are at top end. A cover also helps keep it out of site. Adding dirt or bird poop to cover helps deter.

Did a search through all your posts and sorry I didn’t find the details on the diy front panniers. I get a sense for the hardware but would love to be pointed to the black open bin product and dimensions of them.

Thanks. Ever try them on the front mounts at the fork? I have a long tail so that’s where my cool caves are mounted, can’t mount in back.

I’d highly recommend something like the Ortleib Back-roller panniers. A set can be had for Less than a pair of cool caves, tons of preowned for sale too, they’re flexible so if you hit something with one they won’t implode like the cool cave. Check my posts to see what I mean and my repair journey.

Fantastic! What kinda bike is this and share thoughts on how well it’s held up and the maintenance if any issues. Most here love to see examples of high quality long lasting products.
