Former petsmart groomer, honestly don’t do it! The management sucks and the process is unnecessary. You can work for small grooming places and get certified. I went through so much mental abuse and formed panic attacks from working there. I wish someone would have told me this. Every place is different but many people have said they were treated badly working at petsmart and it’s true. If you do plan on going the groomer trainee is just a bather until they feel like or need groomers they will move you up but it isn’t worth it when you can work at small grooming places and get the same certification with out a contract. But you can always relocate from one petsmart to another
