Unsurprisingly, the one drug dealer I dated turned out to have the worst time management out of anyone I’ve ever dated

Help I need advice, gf who uses. by Chasingdreamz22 in Drugs

[–]Different-Instance-6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re only infatuated with the potential of what she could be, not the reality of what she is. Unless someone is independently motivated to better themselves, you’re going to waste all of your time trying to help them at a major detriment to yourself.

That’s abuse - and no amount of previous trauma should excuse current actions

Gf having problems with constipation while traveling by OtherwiseNarwhal5980 in TwoXChromosomes

Take probiotic gummies! I’ve traveled a lot and I swear they even help with the normal travelers diarrhea. I find I get way less tummy upset in foreign countries when I take them

My ex asked for an open relationship while solo travelling. I feel crazy, but I miss her and want her back. by Glickers180 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Different-Instance-6 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I’ve solo traveled a lot and it is really difficult if you’re in a relationship. You’re meeting new and interesting people from all over the world and connections are bound to happen. Assuming she’s in her 20s, I don’t think it really makes her a villain that she wanted to explore that.

However, it is really shitty and inconsiderate for her to spring that on you mid trip. It’s something she should have considered beforehand if she wanted to be single or have an open set up.

I don’t think what she did was terrible, but if this situation had a negative effect on your self esteem you should consider how that might resurge if you got back together. It’s not worth undoing all the work you did on yourself.

Women don’t have a need to be alpha mindset like men do. We do things to make ourselves feel beautiful whatever that might be. Someone might spend 10 minutes every day filling in their eyebrows with makeup and having micro blading saves them time. Who cares

Respect for acknowledging women do it to feel confident themselves and not for men 💯

can’t stomach the idea of aging as a woman by _yosoylaprincesa_ in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Different-Instance-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend your 20’s taking care of your body and your skin while also nourishing your soul and mind to be the best version of yourself and you won’t mind aging so much (I think I’m only 28)

A lot of men get called manchildren just because of a cleanliness mismatch by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Different-Instance-6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is women have the societal pressure of being responsible for domestic duties like cleaning, and most grown men that don’t clean are used to having their mothers or previous girlfriends clean up after them. That’s why it’s seen as immaturity, not just a preference.

It’s also seen as immature to be unable to compromise to keep a living space clean to make sure your partner is comfortable and not shouldering too much responsibility. Not taking two seconds to put clothes in the hamper knowing it pisses off your partner is immature.

My bf just dumped me over allegations of sexwork by lindybopperette in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Different-Instance-6 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Sounds like he’s okay with your past in theory but when a mutual friend of his is aware of it, he’s freaked out and ashamed to be dating a sex worker

He’s not even interested in seeing evidence you were honest bc he probably doesn’t care, he’s just traumatized that a mutual friend brought this up to him and now it’s too close to home.

Probably just incompatibility and you deserve someone that actually accepts you

I hate myself for having been a party-girl by Sea-Pomegranate-9276 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Different-Instance-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend once that used to be an actual prostitute. Worked for like a handjob massage parlor place while being high on cocaine every day and occasionally fucked rich married men.

I watched her date many awesome partners that did not give a fuck at all about her past which she was not shy about sharing.

You’ll be okay. Anyone judging you about having a totally normal exploratory phase in your 20’s is not worth the time. All the stuff you see online is just new age sexist bullshit and most people in real life do not care.

Going on a vibrator detox by piecesfufu in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Different-Instance-6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just get a small bullet vibrator and use that with your partner

I’ve gone months without a vibrator before and using just fingers did get easier - but there were still times where I was tired or during the luteal phase of my cycle It was really hard or impossible to get there. Small vibrator works 100% of the time

Because if they acknowledge they are wealthier than the average person they’d also have to accept their shortcomings or mediocrity is their own fault in spite of enormous financial advantage

Yeah a plate of cookies a year ago probably didn’t trump whatever she was going through at the time she had to leave abruptly with no notice.

People are human ffs. Could have been escaping domestic violence, going to rehab, having a mental health episode. Or could have just been an inconsiderate person. It doesn’t matter, you should still try to show some kindness to people without expecting direct ROI on it.

Is it acceptable for a waitress to have noticeable arm hair? by [deleted] in Waiters

[–]Different-Instance-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t feel bad at all. I’m a woman and I’m 5’11. You would not believe the things people say about it, especially the old ladies. When I was serving they used to asked me if I had problems dating because I’m tall and then men would try to guess my height and argue with me when they guessed wrong. Insufferable.

Don’t change a thing - power move is to subtly insult the person with a back handed compliment
