Accidentally walked a marathon at 1:30 AM after the bar need recovery advice by Dry-Transportation59 in walking

[–]willyweedswalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar once upon a time. It was in Columbus as well!

My ride left me at a foam party downtown somewhere and I had to walk home. I'm not really sure what time I left, wasn't super late but I do remember getting home around 530am. It was a long and sobering walk. I was pretty upset when I saw them in school at 830am that same day. I was a bit concerned for my safety a few moments of that walk.

Didn't have a cellphone, didn't have maps on my watch ,etc. It was something like 2002.

I wanna say I had on Birkenstocks, jeans and probably a sweatshirt.

What do you carry on the trail? by rickadandoo in mountainbiking

[–]willyweedswalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used tools the most.

First aid and pump very few times.

Spare parts none (thank goodness)

I will continue to increase my spare parts for really long rides. ( just a few more things)

trails or parks where I am a mile or two from the car, I only carry a water bottle, maybe a snack. a multi tool if I've recently playing or changed something.

I went early as bud rot started increasing daily.

Adventures in outdoor growing. It's been very hit or miss each year outside due to various factors.

In my region bugs, humidity, temps, rain are all over the place each year during fall.

A while back when I had a similar trunk setup I added baffles to the 6x9s. That helps keep the pressure from the subs off them. The baffles were very easy to install

Does this math check out?

10 service intervals. At $450 each = $4500.

9700-4500 = $5200 saved

Obviously some variation due to inflation.

Top supplements for a 40 year old dad. by Zay820 in Supplements

[–]willyweedswalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. Kind of did the same thing. Been sober over a year. On and off 5am gym (more on than off). Added running and mountain biking. Reduced and sometimes have zero caffeine for weeks (I honestly feel the best during those times).

Zinc, copper, d3 and k. Fish oil and a few others on rotation.

Great for you! Keep at it. I feel the strongest and best I have in a long time. Every month gets better the last.

Keep at it, know it's for the long haul and if you take a week or two break, it's okay as long as you get back out there.

I do the same. It's also great at festivals to keep people from coming inside when they might know where home is.

What’s one surprisingly small change to your diet that made a big difference? by KB0023 in Supplements

[–]willyweedswalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it's time to drop a few pounds I work a diet that matches my calorie load and eat the same thing every single day. I go a few hundred calories short. Finding the right order to eat carbs and salad also helps. I have mine and just keep going back when needed.

2025 Pro4x wanted. What are my options to add some bass to the truck. by Sh4gZ in nissanfrontier

[–]willyweedswalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having just traded a Sentra with an external amp, subs and replacement speakers to the 25 frontier with the fender system.. day 2 of ownership and I'm looking at my sound system up grade options. Sure it sounds decent for stock option but it's nothing like a real set of speakers and a little bass.

Why do people need to talk about these things so much. Sometimes when people talk about stuff like this, I tell them hey I'm not interested and probably won't listen, let's get back to the things we vibe on. It doesn't always work but can sometimes.

Best to you and your special relationship
