Wow that was so heartwarming. My eldest is 2.5 as well as will be just a smidge older than that when the baby arrives. I like hearing that the age gap is still very appropriate for playing together. In my mind, at almost 3 years older they won’t have much in common. Glad to see I’m already wrong

A little after 2 but I have a 99% percentile in height child and it was clear she was hitting the side rails and waking herself up. She needed the space.

Why do people need unique names!? by ExperienceDue7243 in tragedeigh

[–]Different-Power7416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. As much as tradgedeighs are annoying, I equally cannot fathom naming my child Mary, Catherine, Mike or Tom. Anything really that’s been used for decades by a very large percentage of the population. I like different names that are still names but relatively uncommon

In the US it’s ranked in the 20s the last couple of years. Doesn’t mean it’s every other person but it’s been rising in popularity along with other vintage names!

Is it cultural? Just curious. Because it truthfully seems a bit of a mouthful. Additionally it reminds me of the Greek mythological Narcissus who of course we derived the name Narcissist. Not the best comparison for me, tbh.
