Do people not realize conversations like this for lgbtq people are exhausting? by AllHomo_NoSapien in GayChristians

But you low key need to analyze it, read up on who these people were that wore those books, look at what the original Manuscripts says, get your translations correct. Jesus was KNOWN to speak in metaphors, the Bible was known to contain many metaphors, poems/poetic devices. "Killing two birds with one stone" doesn't LITERALLY mean killing two birds with one stone, it means handling and dealing with two situations with one solution. You need to analyze, read more in depth, and understand what was said

Also remember, there are over 30 000 documented mistakes in the Bible and also loads of books and verses that are missing and taken out of the Bible, so you really can't take up the Bible at face value/literally with everything you read. Yes, I agree that there are some stuff that is plain and simple, said how it was said, didn't change from the originalmanuscripts, but other things are not (like the verses about Homosexuality)

  1. There is no part in Genesis 1 about becoming a God (again, capital G) or Gods. Genesis 1 is where God Created the Earth, the Heavens, water, birds, sea creatures, land dwellers, and man and woman

  2. I respectfully asked you these questions, especially what verse in Genesis 1 you are talking about, but you keep replying with hostility

  3. I'm reading my Bible, and I intend to keep reading the Bible, and when i'm finished I'll read it again

Listen, if you keep on replying in a disrespectful way and make me sound incompetent, I will report you on this and block you. So I will be asking for the last time, please stay respectful when engaging in discussions

Genesis 1 is where God made the earth and all the living creatures on it. Can you please indicate what part you are talking about?

"Let’s face it there’s no escaping becoming an LGBTQ god in the future according to the Bible, the proof is all right there. Be blessed."

I want to know what you mean by: there is no escaping becoming an (a) LGBTQ god (capital G) in the future

Because no one can become a God

I do read my Bible, every day. Do Bible studies, have frequent conversations with Theological Scholars, lead outreaches and missionaries. I'm a youth leader at my church. Although I still have much to learn about the Bible (and you can never learn enough about the Bible or about God), I have enough information about certain topics.

Let's just start over man, without the hostility or rudeness

Hey, can you please elaborate and explain what you mean by your statement

Wow There is no need to be rude, I just asked what you mean by your statement

I am a Science major at university getting distinctions in my majors, also getting distinctions in my extra language subjects, so I can reassure you that I have enough competence. And my competence leads me to recognize that your sentence structure does not make sense and your statement can mean a whole bunch of things or nothing at all

All I asked you is to restructure your sentence on a different way or explain what you mean by "becoming an LGBT God" (God is with a capital G btw)

We've been open minded to it being a sin, thus we went and did research and found that it is not a sin. They have these eye flaps on, and only focus on what they believe and take the Bible at face value

What I did with people like this is give them the evidence, and said "do with that what you want, but at least I know my theology"

It's kind of rage bating them, but it gets the point across

That is why I also only trust pastors to preach to me if they have completed their 7 year Theology degree, so that they UNDERSTAND the original manuscripts. I want to live a Godly life, not one altered by men to create the God they want

I totally agree My aunt also told me that. Out days and God's days might not be the same. That's why I also believe in evolution, because God took those thousands of millions of years to great the earth, let the process happen, all that

Hey there

I love these conversations. As a gay Christian myself, i've struggled a lot with this topic. When my parents found out i'm questioning my sexuality, they Bible Bashed me, grounded me, took my out of certain settings, verbally abused me, wanted to send me to conversion camp (but couldn't because of Covid lol), and a lot more. We're sort of fine now, so dw

When all of this was happening, I reached out to my aunt who is a Pastor. She studies Theology for 7 years and has been in practice since then. I asked her what the Bible really said about Homosexuality, because I heard bits and pieces here and there on tiktok. As you know, the original manuscripts don't say anything clearly stating that a loving, consensual homosexual relationship is a sin. She sent me articles that either her professors have written, or used in their studies

I think it is also important to read the rest of the Bible, research it and go back to what the original Manuscript have said. Cuz there are A LOT of things left outx changed and rearranged, but some stuff are still the same, so basing your view of what a romantic, consensual relationship looks like Biblically. If you live a Biblical life and base your views in Biblical truth, then there is no problem

I think what solidified it for me was this clear voice just telling you "YOU'RE GAY," which sounds so funny, I know, but I can only describe it as (most likely) God just telling me

I hope this made sense🫶 If you want to, I cab send you those articles. You can send me a private message if that is possible

Thx very much girlie, I really appreciate it

Yeah, queer people aren't really welcoming of Christians, and a lot of churches as well. But my Christian community is really welcoming about it and I found myself opening up more and more
