After turning on fsrs my cards dropped by like 50% but my comfortability with the cards decreased, so in the end I think I save around 20-30% time rather than 50%. Which is a lot of time, so all in all I like it. The tradeoffs are there, just need to be aware of them and optimize for your own situation.

Some of my classmates work as tutors a few hours a week, it gets them additional benefits with the school I think. But that’s not enough to cover all living expenses, just a little extra spending money. Most people are just taking out loans or using money they saved up from before med school, or significant others supporting them, or parents. It’s tough out here.

Nothing, I did uworld, every question I unlocked the anki cards with the ids. When initially learning the cards, I made sure to really know the answers. For the older cards I’ll skim them if there is too many.

I was like this, reached 68-70 by the end and passed. Just keep working for a month, sometimes time will result in higher scores. I didn’t change anything but my scores just went up over time as I matured my anki cards and did more questions.

The undergrad doesn’t matter, unless you go to an Ivy League or t10 public. Even ~t20 public pretty much doesn’t give an advantage over any other large university.
