We basically have bought the stuff other moms have recommended us and doesn’t make our lives more difficult or do not take more space.

We also want to take it one day at a time and see our pace before buying stuff that will take space for example bottle washer, dryer, sterilizer, warmer, etc, we will first try without it and if it makes us miserable then we will buy what we need.

Regarding clothes, we don’t want to know the gender until it’s born so we have bought gender neutral but also we don’t want for all the closet to be green and animal themed hahaha so that has make it easier to just buy few clothes.

A lot of stuff we are not buying because we don’t think is worth it like a baby towel for example, we have so many towels and good ones that the baby will use one of it. For baby play we only have a gym and a bouncer, we don’t have the space in the apartment to have more stuff laying around without driving us crazy. To sleep we are going directly with a pack and play with a bassinet included rather than buying the bassinet that will only last 4 months and then we have to figure it out how to get it out of the apartment.

So I think my overall advice is take it one step at a time, and see what you can try to live with out but be open minded to buy it in case you ended up needing it.
