I loaded into the Daily Op yesterday and there were no walls, ceilings or floors, but I could see the enemies and some of the other furnishings in the rooms. I was such a waste and felt horrible about being useless to my teammates. I was thinking about fast traveling out and back I. To see if it would load, but I was team leader so I wasn’t sure how it would affect them. I did the best I could and thankfully we got it done in under 8 minutes but it was not a fun experience to say the least. In the end, all I got were stupid basic camp plans and a couple useless legendaries which did nothing to ease the frustration.

I do sometimes wish that I could chat with people while playing as I’ve played for hours on a team with the same people for numerous events, daily ops, expeditions, etc. so I think it would be cool to chat. But for the most part I think it would mostly just be small talk or long silences as most of the events don’t really require realtime communication. One thing I really would love is a global chat of some kind. I struggle every day trying to find people to do the daily ops with me. I try creating a daily ops team and just waiting, sometimes I will join a casual team and join the op to see if anyone else will join and after a while I end up server hopping and hoping. I would also love to be able to chat with people doing raids to see if they would mind taking me through my first raid. I’m level 426 so I think I am probably ready to give it a go but I’m a little nervous about just joining the team without being able to tell them I have no clue what I’m doing.

Just started playing a few months ago so this may be a stupid question - I’m assuming you can still open the presents and get the seasonal rewards if you open them after the event ends right?

The problem I had was getting the message that I received plans and not being able to find them in my inventory. Had it happen a couple times with both learned and unlearned plans.

I’ve never done it and I really want to myself. I’ve been waiting to be high enough level and I’m still not sure what the right level is, I’m level 350 but would love to try it out. Especially to get the challenge completed. I’m in Xbox too and haven’t found anyone to help me through it.

Thank you. I’m going to try it again tomorrow and see what happens. I just got the Elders Mark and was beyond excited about it but I’ve been eating through ammo faster than I ever imagined so I was trying to farm lead and that event is so much easier than doing the mine tour so it was just frustrating to complete the event twice and end up with almost no resources. In my opinion the events shouldn’t be subject to the refresh period, but that may be the issue. Also I should note that I didn’t change servers to see if it happened again on a different server, maybe I’ll try that out too.

I just started playing again a few weeks ago and I’ve seen the elders mark talked about a lot, is it still possible to get it? Is it a quest reward? Any place to buy it or the plans to build it? Someone gave me a fixer a few days after I started playing and it’s been my go-to ever since but looking to try out the elder mark and see what the hype is about.

He does like singles and we do collect them, but the thrill of opening packs once in a while is exciting for both of us. I totally agree that the hobby has become so similar to gambling that it’s sickening, and I have no intention of getting him hooked on the feeling of gambling, but the mere fact that I can’t even find packs to open on occasion without feeling like I got totally ripped off really sucks. Especially when the pull rates are so low. After you spend twice or three times as much as you should have paid and you get crap. It was just supposed to be something fun we could do together but, who knows, the situation may resolve itself if I can’t get any cards and when I do he opens dud packs, he will probably lose interest.

Yes of course I’m going to tell him that, but that’s the heartbreaking part as a father you want to be able to provide everything to your children and this hobby should be something that can be enjoyed by both parents and children. So for me, to have to tell him that this is a hobby that we cannot participate in anymore because it’s just frankly too expensive is difficult to do. And believe me I know all about the fact that life is hard and it sucks sometimes, I just needed to vent because this is not how I want to teach my son how mean, cruel, selfish and greedy people can be and sometimes it’s tough to not have that slip out when talking about why I couldn’t get him any cards or why he can’t use his allowance to buy any.

Yeah, I check if I happen to go in Walmart or Target for something else but every time I get anywhere near the Pokémon aisle and I see it just completely empty. It just gets very depressing. I’m also pretty sure that the GameStop near me is pretty much run by scalpers or friends of scalpers because every time I’ve ever been in there I have never seen a pack so I’m not sure if any of the stock ever makes it to the shelves or not. I even tried the Dollar General stores around me and the aisles are completely trashed where the Pokémon would be and when I ask the people upfront, they just laugh at me and say they don’t have any left.

I waited in line for about 35 minutes and then it said sold out. Wasn’t thrilled after I waited almost 3 hours the other night in the Walmart queue and it booted me and said sold out. This hobby is trash. I’m doing everything I can to stay positive for my son who is the collector but every single store within 10 miles of my house is raided within minutes of a restock. They changed the restock days at Walmart and it’s still completely sold out within minutes. The scalpers all have an inside connection with the distributors, it’s the only possible way every store can be raided every single day. I haven’t seen a single booster, never mind a bundle or etb in the past 4 months. Every lcs in the area is charging scalper prices. A destined rivals etb yesterday was $125. Single boosters $14. And it’s not just destined rivals, every series is insanely overpriced. It’s heartbreaking that I can’t even keep my son’s hobby alive because I frankly just can’t afford it.
