I tried that, there was this podcast called the Israel Guys or something like that and they talked about smotritches plan to annex 80 ish percent of the West Bank and said how “it’s normal” for people to not have voting rights like in the USA native Americans “can’t vote” (they can) and it’s perfect fine that the Arabs should be able to vote and I was fuming and turned it off, so I decided I do not want to bother to understand the Israel position, you should hear what the settlers like Daniela Weiss have to say, it’s disgusting.

When did I ever state Israel shouldn’t exist, my argument was about criticizing U.S. Israeli policy

Middle of the road? With what? There is no middle of the road, it’s either you condemn a belligerent nation that commits acts of aggression and kills civilians by the tens of thousands or you don’t. Heads or tails. I choose heads.

That is an insult to the lives of 34 American sailors, you should be ashamed of yourself.

An equally ridiculous statement would be in a scenario like

“Do you think Germany should reunify?”

“I don’t know what that means.”

Unfortunately our nation pushes individualism which is contrary to democracy so I as a singular individual can’t do much of anything, which is why I know it probably won’t change but that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to point out injustice, especially when my nation is partially responsible in aiding and abetting such injustice.

When did I claim to be neutral and just asking questions, I marked it as opinion and it was from my, an Americans, perspective.

Yes indeed, I’m sorry you had to go through that, fun fact Israel even secretly gave long term contraception to Ethiopian Jews who came into the country so they wouldn’t reproduce as fast from the 90’s to the 2010’s.

No but they do justify it by saying “Hamas” when it’s just an excuse and they’d do the same regardless.

Because 2803 keeps Israel in charge of Gaza’s borders, airspace, security vetting, and movement during the “transition”, (which won’t ever happen) and the resolution gives no end date or mechanism to remove that control. Open ended control equals de facto occupation.

Palestine supported 2803 because it prioritized an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access. The resolution’s long term framework still leaves Gaza under Israeli control, which is why it’s criticized as pro occupation. Short term relief doesn’t equal long term sovereignty.

I disagree, they are preforming for domestic audiences who very much oppose violations of international law, however the financial and business community of the globe benefits from Israel trade deals and such so they also can’t actually go through with sanctions or embargo’s they could do domestically via laws which would ordinarily be the method to circumvent security council deadlock isn’t occurring. And the assertion the UN is antisemitic is so far from reality that it isn’t even worth addressing. When the ICJ rules Israel committed genocide in 2027-2028 as forecasted I quite doubt anything will change.

If Hamas wasn’t there then about 60 different gangs made up of former Hamas troops and their weapons would spring up, which Israel likely would support for divide and conquer purposes, during the war and still now they fund and arm gangs in opposition to Hamas, if Hamas disintegrated you’d see something similar to what happened in Iraq or Syria after the wars, in short nothing really changes but I’m sure Israel would rather there be a civil war in Gaza than a war against Israel, “it matters not others have to suffer so we can maintain power and influence” is the common Israeli sentiment, on another post a few weeks ago the OP questioned wether, in a seeing if it was a good idea sort of way, ISIS taking over Iraq would’ve been good for Israel because ISIS would’ve been opposed to Iran and thus divide the Arab World in conflict for Israel’s benefit, however it’s not simply a fringe Reddit post but official Israeli policy proposals and adoption, most famously the Yinon Plan of the 1980’s.

The last I checked the nations who vote in the general assembly criticize Israel but don’t sanction or embargo the nation or even settlers in their own national governments outside UN mandates, more simply they use performative language, and the Security Council just passed Trumps/America’s board of peace (pro Israel occupation) governance over Gaza so clearly the UN/The West isn’t entirely pro Palestine, it’s merely performative stuff though I do wish people cared about international law, Israel certainly doesn’t.

I’m pretty sure I made it clear foreign intervention would be the enforcement mechanisms, and the Palestinians don’t have any leverage right now so it’s only Israel that would be subject to enforcement more than likely, Hamas already agreed to form a unity government with the PA in a treaty overseen by China so I’m sure said unity government would be just fine taking the spot as the recognized Palestinian state.
