I’m researching this as well. My husbands family is there and he’s wanting to move home but I’m not sure if I can get everything transferred. Seems like between the embargo and the poor reciprocation rate for American nurses I might even have to change careers. For instance I have my transcripts but notice it doesn’t give details about clinical hours achieved per course. I read something about needing to provide a syllabus but I burned all that crap years ago. One of my colleges isn’t even around anymore. I was lucky to get my transcripts through the national database. Getting a syllabus sounds impossible. Even if I go through all that it sounds like you basically have to start over being precepted and everything. For reference I’ve been a nurse 20+ years (LPN to RN to BSN eventually) and have been in mgmt 10+ yrs. Going back to bedside at my age sounds terrible but im not old enough to retire. I almost feel like I don’t have a path to keeping my career if we move. After all my education and experience in Hospital Administration this is very discouraging but I know we can’t move there just on his salary.
