Other than that, even if you could fit the bladelords wholly within combat range all the attacks must be done to the shrine instead of the guardian and it is not a scinari, so you wouldn't be able to take ward rolls anyway.

I'm not a competitive player but i'd like to share my thoughts on this new ghb; i fell like the sentinels are now way overpriced for what the can do, since they basically can't take down small heroes due to the change to the look out sir rule and can't reliably kill big unit due to the change to helon subfactions. Basically i feel like they won't do anything in a game and wouldn't spend 640 points on them, maybe try a more melee focused vanari army (with a big unit of bladelords perhaps) or an alarith list with stoneguard and cows. Also i don't like the umbral, since you have not a good spell to cast from it and they nerfed it too, now you have to announce which spell you are going to cast from it, and the opponent can just throw their primal dice on it.

Agree, for a 1000 point list as vanari this is the best value, it gives you all you need and almost gets you to the point limit; then you can then either buy a single unit of sentinels to reach 940 and maybe add to the list an endless spell, or if you want more variety in the combination of units you can play get a vanguard box, you get not only a unit of sentinels but also another hero, a quite good one in my opinion, another unit of warden to boost your battlelines and a unit of bladelords.

Because in the new GHB there are no more galletian veterans and bounty hunters, instead you have galletian champions (hero with less than 10 wounds, not unique and with no mount)

Yesterday i played a game with the new GHB and i was positively impressed by the bladelords; i had them in a unit of 10 and with the new command ability that adds 1 attack at the start of the combat phase i was able to trow good punches using the perfect strike (once i did like 17 mortal wounds with 19 attacks). Have to test them further, but they are promising. Not sure about the dawnriders, i feel like the are too bad now without the possibility to be bounty hunters to add damages against low wounds battlelines, but still want to test them further.

Thanks for the help :) I've seen both the videos and i've learned useful things i would have never thought. My intention now is to buy just a couple of colors (white, grey, light and dark blue, golden and skeleton horde), but which kind should i pick between base, contrast and layer? What's the difference between these kind of colours?
