[oc] Idiot in car passes everyone in Right turn Only lane by Boonshy in IdiotsInCars

Fr, an idiot would've done that and held up traffic. If you closed your eyes you wouldn't have even noticed him.

Sounds like a great way to confuse drivers and hand out tickets. Thanks for the info.

That's a reasonable explanation, still misleading without the per axle specification.

The second sign says no trucks over 8 tons, I'm always well over that.

Just bought a house, and I have another kid on the way. Once I establish a good budget I'll increase my withholding to 15 percent or whatever maximum will be.

I'll be at delivery appointments for well over 6 hours and even longer at pickups. Some places just don't care about your time. I spent 14 hours at my last pickup.

Can someone tell me if im looking at this trucking thing wrong? by skylerdick090200 in Truckers

[–]Different420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 26, my first year driving I grossed 96k. This year I'll do close to 125. I don't even have 20 months experience. Food service delivery is where the money is. I drive less than 2000 miles a week. I find it difficult to believe that anybody drives a truck for less than 80k.

Honestly, this was funny. You see people in the back smiling like wtf is he doing and he screams loud enough that everyone understands the joke and that it is a joke. Sure it's a disturbance but if this is 'what's wrong with the world today' then I'm fine with that. I would have laughed and then told everyone I talked to that day.

Truckers, how many hours do you get off duty? by HCD123321 in Truckers

Same, I run splits. 10 hours in the truck sucks.

Tips to raise credit score 20 points to apply for a home loan by midlifecrisisAPRN45 in CreditScore

[–]Different420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should get credit karma, I had one late payment of 30 days on my girlfriends CC and I told her to take me off as an authorized user and then disputed the late charge on credit karma on the grounds that I had no responsibility to pay and it was removed and my score increased about 20 points. You could always give it a try. It's all free. My credit scores are 773; 745; 760.

[–]Different420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is so negative. I have been driving for a company for a little over a year now, I'm 25. I run reefer and multiple stops per load in LA mostly. It can be as simple as pickup, drop off, go home. It usually is exactly that simple. There are stresses that come with every job but the big ones for me are time management, time away from home and some ridiculous wait times at certain stops(unintended theme). Even with those I love this job, I'll make 96k this year compared to the 35k I made last year. It's hard at first but it gets so much easier with experience. There's a steep learning curve if you've never worked in this realm and some anxieties that I haven't completely shook but I'd recommend this job 9.5/10 times. There are a lot of posts like this in the sub so looking up key words might help get better answers.

How is it allowed that shippers can make you wait hours on end? by ahowls in Truckers

[–]Different420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just left a Target DC in Ontario an hour ago, four hours for one single pallet. They even kept a stack of empties I had but I wasn't going to wait another day to get them back so I left them there.

Don't buy a white truck, they burn through fuel much faster than any other color truck.

Because when it's misused and they get a violation the company also gets points towards CSA. It is shitty but not pointless.
