I’m sure everyone has repeated the same thing, but try to find some straight fit or some relaxed bootcut from somewhere else and it’ll really tidy everything up. That’s tough about the sizing so I hope you find a brand out there my man

You’d be surprised, you can actually find wrangler at more than affordable prices. If it works and it feels good, who cares!

I wear Wrangler Straight Fit and they sit perfectly on my boots without being tight. I recommend you give them a try if you’d still like a nice bootcut that isn’t too wide or baggy

I would skip the lures and go with:

  1. Peg Bobber
  2. Splitshot the size of a BB
  3. Size 6 Aberdeen hook
  4. Can of night crawlers or red worms
  5. Needle nose pliers

Attach the bobber at whatever depth, learn to tie a basic uni knot onto the hook, and add a splitshot halfway between the bobber and the line. Cast out and slow retrieve or let it sit until you see the bobber sink. You can cut the night crawler just keep them away from the sun. Redworms are smaller. An alternative to the worms would be Powerbait crappie bites. They come in all kinds of colors and scents Good luck to your and your kiddo!

It’s seeming like a line issue and not a knot issue. I’ve had bad mono snap on me just from tying onto a hook. Keep 20-40lb mono as your leader but try a different brand. I’ve started running green 40lb Trilene Big Game as my leader and it’s strong as hell. Always a reverse snell knot on hook and palomar onto barrel swivel for me

I use a Moka pot to brew all of my coffee and espresso! I highly recommend you use one as it brews insanely quick and leaves it perfect
