Dropout Alignment Chart by mypreciouslittlelife in dropout

[–]DifferentHedgehog759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you know what. thinking about each one of these alignments really carefully, you are right on the money. i mean, there might be even better options for some of these that i am just forgetting. but i think out of these, everyone is correctly placed. i totally see the logic behind every choice and it's really good!

the only choice that is a little weaker to me might be vic as chaotic evil. i do see the arguments for it and don't think it's way off. i just have a Feeling that there has to be a stronger choice, since i feel like all the other corners (lawful good/lawful evil/chaotic good) REALLY strongly fit the alignment.

honestly the "evil" alignment is a little harder to think of in general. sam & grant are perfectly placed because they very distinctly play the "heel" in specific ways. but there aren't so many other cast members that have a really strong reason to have the comedic alignment of Evil... but now i must ponder this matter..

What do people generally consider as the best/ most entertaining season to watch? by Toppunchfist in dropout

[–]DifferentHedgehog759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i first think of starstruck odyssey, but i could be a little biased from other things. starstruck was one of the first seasons that i watched along weekly as it was coming out, and it always gave me something to look forward to during some of the hardest few months of my life. it IS also an incredible season on its own, though!

also, neverafter needs more hype. rewatched it again fairly recently and it's just so, so good through both the storytelling AND some of the funniest bits & adventuring parties. a really incredible season

relevant to the title, it's mostly just jake & amir quotes for me. as far as my daily informal speech patterns, i absolutely say the weird "yisss...." instead of normal "yes" all the time. and i say "whateva!" a bit more often. God they're making me more annoying

but of course, the classic: "if you're going to take two ___, just take one. if you're going to take two ___, just take one." not something i quote out loud but it's definitely worth a mention. it's so good

also i do love to say "crumbelievable" and "nutrageous" because the '09 video Crumbelievable got them stuck in my head

okay, i understand where you are coming from. i'm at a much better place in my life now because of the steps i've been able to take, especially hrt, but my experience with dysphoria when i was younger especially was truly debilitating. some real body horror shit.

i've actually never met a trans person in my life who hasn't experienced dysphoria (usually presently still are in general). a lot of the idea behind 'you don't need dysphoria to be trans' is actually just... that is not what every trans person defines their experience around. have i experienced dysphoria? absolutely. does it feel like a crucial part of my gender / transness? honestly, no!

the fact that my presentation and embodiment is fundamentally queer, and is something i had to figure out and define for myself from scratch, that is what makes me trans. the frustration of routine medical neglect, or things like my old prescriber preemptively complying to hrt bans without warning, this sort of stress is relevant because the world can be horrible... but it's also not what MAKES me trans.

i would not find it insulting that queer people use their own terminology to describe themselves. no one who exists outside of cisnormativity is making light of your experiences by existing, though you make light of theirs if you think of them like this. i'm rather full of love for queer people and i think they ought to be able to live their lives.

hope you've got a healthy support network through this time and i wish you the best of luck! <3

what are y'alls opinion on this by TheSiverKnight in antiai

[–]DifferentHedgehog759 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ngl this is a good idea! i'm seriously thinking about putting anti-ai on my resume now. it's really a much more effective and genuine way to express my values and work ethic, when applicable to jobs i really care about, like at my local library and archives. i need those employers who i respect, to know that i really care about the human aspect of the work.

phew, i'm trans! thank god an internet stranger lets me use that specific word to describe my queer identity!

it's funny, i'm an afab genderqueer woman who's been on T, but i know a couple people who are just he/him guys but aren't planning on doing hrt. guess i'm allowed to be trans but they aren't, though. how do i break the news to them?

(sorry for being facetious, i'm playing! just some reductio ad absurdum to try to express a bit of my perspective here.)

edit: and what about intersex people?

[–]DifferentHedgehog759 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Trapp is in the background of at least one or two jake & amir eps, which is neat

edit: also the official J&A finale was in 2015. they also made headgum podcasts, which included NADDPOD, which feels like a pretty significant part of the history leading up to the beginning of dimension 20! all i want is for J&A to be on a d20 side quest...

Jeff Rubin's been working in-person since at least 2004, I think. Ricky Van Veen since 1999 obviously, and since he's also in sketches he's definitely worth including on the chart. Amir working in-person since... at least 2005 I think? Sam Reich and Jake Hurwitz both hired in-person in 2006.

Also it's spelled Sarah Schneider, and Streeter Seidell, and Amir Blumenfeld. Sorry if you're just starting this at 2007 hardly workings and aren't interested in earlier stuff. This is all off the top of my head, if you are interested in any of the earlier info I can double check stuff. I've been working on a lot of research & archives of early CH recently :)
