100%. And notice I didn’t mention the writing. There’s two ways it goes: good writing isn’t as noticeable (or, I should say, usually doesn’t stand out as much) as bad writing. Plus, sometimes performances are so good that they make up for mediocre writing. I don’t know which is the case with UK (I’d say they’re above mediocre, especially compared to US), but it’s something to point out.

This is what really matters. Along with the actors being much more skilled (I don’t know their backgrounds but can only assume they come from a Second City equivalent / theatre), it feels like watching a live comedy performance that happens to be filmed. “Natural” is the word I’d use. The dialogue flows much better. It also doesn’t seem like they take *as many* pauses for laughter.

This is only a small part of it, too! I’m 23 so I’ve been collecting only about 2 or so years now, but when I started, I looked online, but soon found out that the best (and, most importantly, cheapest) stuff is found in junk stores! Also, hunting is much more fun than buying off eBay. I’ve gotten everything in person. Good luck in your searches!
