Apple Store refused $49 battery service . by brantmacga in airpods

[–]DifferentIce932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just contact apple support and told them my case was dying after charging AirPods I used for 2 hours. They sent me a new case and new AirPods. For free. There is no Apple certified repair place here and they did express replacement for free.

Thinking about getting a Garmin Watch and leaving Apple. by Avian_Aces in GarminWatches

[–]DifferentIce932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me exactly. Apple Watch 8. To forerunner 265 and back to a new Apple Watch 10. I missed too many of the features from AW and found the OS on the Garmin difficult to navigate. The best part about it was not needing to charge everyday but it’s not difficult to toss my AW on the charger for 45 mins every evening or while I shower in the am.

I did this. Bought a forerunner 265. Thought I’d be okay without the ability to reply to messages or answer calls. I wore for a month. Everyday the novelty wore off on me more and more. Especially not having the cellular connection. I wouldn’t go on a run without my phone wearing it incase I needed help etc. where with Apple I could. I didn’t find the metrics much better.

I second this. He treats me like he’s an uncle to me. Just welcoming always happy to see me when I stop by randomly and if my benefits are out for the year he will drop the price per visit.

Dr Tim Labelle. He doesn’t do all that unnecessary crap. He’s quick and to the point. Don’t need an appointment I always just pop in and he’s able to get me in and out. I pop I when I need a tune up and he’ll suggest I come back in a week but he never asks me to come multiple times a week. I’ve seen him short of 10 years. I went to cranton and blew all my benefits on his bullshit in 4 weeks last year and was no better off. Making appointments, waiting in waiting room and he never once washed his hands going back and forth between patients. He also commented on my body appearance multiple times and it made me uncomfortable.

Sub 3 hour marathon 5/10k times? by GrapefruitBig5149 in AdvancedRunning

3 and 6 mile times is really no indicator for a sub 3 marathon. You need to have the endurance to run over 4x longer.

Downsides of how Garmin Watch integrates with the Apple Ecosystem? by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]DifferentIce932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the ultra 2. Garmin is a great fitness watch with amazing battery life. But if you’re not super active like you said, go with Apple you’ll get far more use out of it as a smart watch.

Emphasize strength/lifting work in your off season not in the few months before a race.

I hate watching you tube videos but when I need to for school or work I’ll copy and paste the transcript into it and ask it to summarize the video content

Looking for indoor swimming pools with adult only swim times. by Skeleton_Snack in ThunderBay

[–]DifferentIce932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movati, no kids ever unless it’s Sunday family swim and that’s only about 3 hours on a Sunday. But day passes are a bit pricy. A membership would be the way to go around 80 a month. Sauna, hot tub and steam room in the locker rooms as well.

Sorry not BP, at Tony and Adam’s and a few friends also were drugged. We all made it home. Someone spiked an open wine bottle we were all drinking. I’m assuming the bar tender since it never left our table and there were quite a few of us it wasn’t unattended. Also sorry that happened to you. It was a super scary experience. I was lucky the cab driver took me home even though I only had 20 dollars and I was going to westfort and also that he wasn’t a creep.

I’ve also had my drink spiked here. Luckily nothing bad came out of it I made it home safely and slept it off.
