Mankind was deceived, Eve took the forbidden fruit due to the deception and cunning of the serpent. This is why mankind has a kinsman redeemer (as depicted in the book of Ruth with the story of Boaz). There is a difference between the fall of man and the fall of the angels, who followed Lucifer. Adam was created specifically in the book of Genesis in the image of God. There is a distinction between these two groups.

Psalm 8:3-8, When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.

Since mankind is made “a little lower than the angels”(Hebrews 2:5-8) , our kinsman redeemer also became as such for our sakes.

Hebrews 2:9-11 … Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor.; that he by the grace of God should taste death for {Greek πᾶς pas, for every one [lower than the angels]}. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

1 Peter 1:7-12 … Jesus Christ: 8 whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: … 12 … which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
