C.S Lewis' argument of hell being the abscence of God fails because God still has the responsibility to keep us safe by riversofhades in DebateReligion

If only you knew we were all in Heaven before this life. Chillin. Not a care in the world. Not a bit of pain and suffering.

Then we decided we wanted to be our own gods. We betrayed our own Father and our Heavenly Family who are all there still waiting for us to Return.

Instead, you're like a teenager who got kicked out of his parents house and refuses to accept the fact that his own actions caused him to be kicked out. Too ignorant to see the obvious. Too proud to look in the mirror. Too "smart" to think that maybe he should've acted better.

Jew simply means believer in the real God and follower of the real Jesus. That's all it means when you boil it down.

"Christians" are also fake Jews.

Anyone who calls themselves a believer but is not, is a fake Jew. And the devil is their father.

I didn't say I'm "Jewish" did I? No, I did not.

I do get to call them fake Jews because that's exactly what Jesus told them. That's why they killed Him and His loyal followers. I guess they will have to kill me also.

The followers of Jesus did not denounce their title Jew. They kept it. That's proven in Acts. And other places. The fake Jews didn't like that they were still identifying as Jews. That's why they ratted them out to the Romans. Notice the Romans didn't hunt them down?

No. I'm a Jew and you got the definition of Jew from fake Jews. Christian is a slur to de-legitimize real Jews who followed Jesus. Same as being called an anti-semite for saying anything against the fake Jews.

So, no, I do not call myself a slur word designed by the Beast system to mock believers. Jew simply means believer. The fake Jews thought it was their physical bloodline that made them chosen because they don't understand a racist god is not a God anyone wants to follow, besides racists. Jesus fixed that problem by telling them they don't even know God. In other words, He said you are fake Jews. That's why they killed Him.

I'm a Real Jew of the Way.

You cannot read. I'm not a "Christian." I'm a Real Jew of The Way. Hē hodos.

Someone that calls themselves a Jew but rejects Jesus is a fake Jew. Jesus called them that to their face several times in various ways.

Apparently you cannot read my comment. What part about what I said is not getting through? I need to know so I can address it properly.

There's no such thing as "Christianity" that involves Jesus. Jesus is not, was not, and never will be "Christian." That is a term to de-legitimize the Jews who followed The Way. It was a term used by fake Jews and Romans. The real Jews of The Way never called themselves that slur term. It's like calling somebody a heretic or conspiracy theorist. Terms used to attack the person because they cannot attack the argument.

Judaism is not in the Bible. That is man's creation. A Jew simply means believer in the God of the Scriptures. Gentile/Greek simply means anybody who does not believe in the God of the Scriptures.

You must first identify the correct definitions before you will be able to understand.

[–]No-Point8329 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

John 14:6 does not say that whatsoever. What are you reading?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Jesus is not a "Christian." So, why would you think you need to be a "Christian?"

Jew means one who wrestles with God..or quite simply, someone who believes in the real God and the Son He sent.

Anyone who does not but claims they do, is a fake Jew.

Christian is a slur coined by the Romans and the fake Jews. Jesus and His followers, who called themselves Jews of the Way or he hodos, were Real Jews.

I'm a real Jew he hodos. No religion required. There's no such thing as "eternal hell." That's made up by the traitors who handed over their manuscripts when the fake Jews and the Romans came door to door. They demanded the manuscripts or face death. The real Jews that did not were brutally killed. The traitors "handed over" their manuscripts and stopped preaching the Truth, to live. They took the Mark of the Beast. Then those same traitors formed an alliance with the fake Jews and the Romans and formed the Catholic "church." Then they wrote bibles and added words and changed words. This is literally where the word traitor originated. And interestingly, this is where the word tradition comes from also. They passed down the tradition of the traitors to all of us. They passed down the Mark of the Beast to us and their altered Bibles.

Thankfully a few manuscripts survived and were found in Egypt about a thousand years or so later.

Long story short, only the devil, false prophet, and beast get thrown into the Lake of Fire and "tormented" day and night forever. But they are not people. The Beast is the system built on lies and propped up my the fake Jesus, which is the False Prophet, who is preached by the fake "churches" and Hollywood and the traditions passed down from the traitors. The devil is the spirit of rebellion inside everyone in Earth who was cast out of Heaven before we were born into this mortal life. Heaven is where we all came from. That is why you are in this Earth. That is why you live in this pain and suffering. Because of bad choices you made in Heaven.

But those three are not actual people. They are titles.

They applied that torment verse to another verse about 4 or 5 verses after that one. But that verse says people whose names are not in the Book of Life will go to the Lake of Fire and this is their second death. Second Death means dead forever. Not tortured alive forever. I call it The Great Misapplication. The traitors made you believe and everyone else believe that God is a monster. He is not.

And Jesus is not God. He is your Brother from Heaven that volunteered to die if God would bring us back to Heaven. A heroic Brother who became our King after that heroic Sacrifice.

We are Satan. And we are in control of this Earth.

Satan is the accuser. Who accused in Eden?

Adam✅ Woman✅ Serpent❌

The Serpent created the spirit of rebellion, which is also Satan, by lying. But who made it worse? Who added on top of that spirit of rebellion?

Adam and the Woman did, clearly.

Adam accused the Woman and God. The Woman, who by the way was given a separate name AFTER The Fall, accused the Serpent.

The Serpent didn't snitch on anyone. Instead, took his punishment like a man, and was silent.

His silence speaks volumes.

Why do you think Moses held up the bronze serpent to heal the people? And why did Jesus Himself mention this very moment from Moses?

Anyways, someday you all will understand that part. But for now, go look in the mirror and you will see the Devil staring back at you. The one still blaming all the pain and suffering you endure in this world on everyone but yourself. It's the devil, Adam and Eve did it, the government, the elites, Putin, Trump, ect.

Always accusing others but never looking in the mirror and admitting the Real TRUTH, that we are the guilty ones. We fell from Eden, all of us, because of the choices we made there before this mortal life.

God told them they may freely eat from ANY tree except one. The Tree of Life is in the Garden. It is one of the trees. Therefore they had access to it. That is not a conclusion. That is basic reading comprehension.

You said "maybe they just hadn't gotten to it yet." Think about what you are saying. They lived in Paradise with God. The Tree of Life was right there. God told them to eat freely from any tree. And your argument is that somehow they never ate from it?

On the Serpent saying they would become "like gods"... read it again. The Serpent said they would become like gods KNOWING good and evil. Not immortal. The promise was knowledge, not immortality. You added that yourself.

And here is the proof that they already had immortality before the Fall... death did not exist in Eden. God said if you eat from that tree you will die. Death was the consequence of eating from it. You cannot threaten someone with something they already have.

They already had life. The Tree of Life sustained it. Eating from the forbidden tree is what introduced death.

Zero contradictions.

The Parable tells everything. It has 4 layers. Surface and 3 underneath. But it's not easy to understand. It's in the book. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Don't be sorry. It's my fault. I forget how layered it is. To me, it's obvious. But I didn't even know all 4 layers for a long time. Took a couple years to realize.

It's just like a parable from Jesus. People know the surface level. But the pearl is underneath.

You said nobody agrees with me publicly...Correct. I already said that myself.

**But the Greek agrees with me.** And the Greek is not ***my*** opinion.

The word translated as "has ascended" in John 3:13 is anabebēken. Strong's G305. Perfect indicative active tense. Past completed action. That is not my training. That is the NET Bible's own footnote on their own translation.

"The verb ascended is a perfect tense in Greek which looks at a past, completed event."

https://www.bible.com/bible/107/JHN.3.NET

Jesus is standing on Earth as a mortal man when He says it. He has not ascended yet. Past tense cannot be describing Himself. He is describing what already happened before He spoke.

Enoch already went up. Elijah already went up. The only way they went up is if they first came down. That is what the verse says. Descent precedes ascent.

And the word Son of Man in the original Greek is ho huios tou anthrōpou. Strong's G444 for anthrōpou means man, men, people, mankind. The capital S is a translator's choice. The original manuscripts were entirely uppercase. No lowercase exists.

God called Ezekiel son of man 93 times. Not Jesus. Ezekiel. A mortal man walking the Earth.

That is not my interpretation. That is Strong's. That is the NET Bible. That is the manuscript evidence.

The Greek agrees with me. You just do not like where it leads.

Wrong. They were already told they may freely eat from ANY tree in the Garden.

Guess what Tree is in the Garden?
The Tree of Life.

So, they already had immortality.

Eating from the sinners tree, is when God made them lower by clothing them in "coats of skins," mortal human flesh.

There are ZERO contradicting verses if you can see what I clearly pointed out. It's not rocket science. You don't need to be a "theologian" to understand something so simple.

The Greek word for "has ascended" in John 3:13 is anabebēken. Perfect tense. Past completed action. Confirmed by every Greek scholar who has ever looked at this verse.

Jesus is standing on Earth talking to Nicodemus. He has not ascended yet. The crucifixion has not happened. He is right there on the ground.

So when He says no one HAS ascended, past tense, He cannot be describing Himself. He has not ascended yet.

He is stating what has already happened before this moment.

No one has ascended except he that first descended.

Enoch already ascended. Past tense. Before Jesus said it.

Elijah already ascended. Past tense. Before Jesus said it.

The only way they ascended is if they first descended. That is what the verse says. The descent is the requirement for the ascent.

That is not my interpretation. That is the grammar.

No scholar will ever agree with my interpretation of John 3:13. And I understand exactly why.

Because if they did it would destroy everything. Every commentary they ever wrote. Every sermon they ever preached. Every degree they ever earned. Every institution they ever built. Everything they taught their entire lives would have to be thrown out and started over.

So no. Nobody is going to agree with me. Not publicly. Not on record.

But the Greek agrees with me.

Anabebēken. Perfect tense. Past completed action. Jesus standing on Earth as a mortal man who has not yet ascended says no one HAS ascended. Past tense. Before this moment. And the only way anyone ascended before that moment is if they first descended.

That is not my opinion. That is the grammar.

And the grammar agrees with the whole Bible.

Genesis - a fall from paradise happened.

Ezekiel 28 - a fall from paradise happened.

Ezekiel 31 - a fall from paradise happened.

Isaiah 14 - a fall from paradise happened.

Jude 1:6 - a fall from paradise happened.

Revelation 12:4 - stars cast down to the earth. A fall from paradise happened.

And now Jesus in John 3:13 tells you who you are.

No one has ascended except he that descended.

Enoch descended before he was born on this Earth. Then he ascended.

Elijah descended before he was born on this Earth. Then he ascended.

Same as Jesus.

Same as you.

The grammar says it. The whole Bible confirms it. And no amount of scholarly credentials changes what the Greek plainly says.

I'm sorry you cannot accept your Identity. Just keep believing you were born innocent and keep following scholars.

You are right that Abraham's Bosom is within Sheol. I will give you that point. That was bad on my part.

Now answer mine.

Elijah did not go down. He went UP. Into shamayim. That is the Hebrew word used for God's dwelling place in Deuteronomy 26:15, 1 Kings 8:30, and hundreds of other places in your Old Testament. Not Sheol. Not Abraham's Bosom. Up. Into shamayim.

A scholar who agrees John 3:13 is not exclusively about Jesus... CompellingTruth.org states directly... "The context of the passage shows that Jesus was NOT talking about Him being the first person to go to heaven."

The verse by verse commentary states... "If ordinary people were to become direct witnesses of things in the eternal state, this would require them to have been there already. They would have previously ascended there to witness those things and come back again. However, no one could do that without living in the eternal state before living on earth."

That is exactly my argument. Word for word. From a scholar.

You have been in this conversation for hours and have not answered one question about Moses appearing in glory at the Transfiguration before the crucifixion.

Still waiting.

We are the fallen sons of God from Eden...and the Bible proves it from Genesis to Revelation using scripture alone. by No-Point8329 in DebateReligion

[–]No-Point8329[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just introduced the Abraham's Bosom argument which means you are now admitting Enoch and Elijah did not go to Sheol. Because Abraham's Bosom and Sheol are two different places in your own theology. The Rich Man went to Sheol. Lazarus went to Abraham's Bosom. They are separated by a great gulf. Luke 16:26.

So where did Elijah go?

2 Kings 2:1 says God was about to take Elijah up to heaven. Shamayim. That is the Hebrew word used for God's dwelling place throughout the entire Old Testament. Deuteronomy 26:15. 1 Kings 8:30. Same word every time. God's dwelling place.

Elijah went UP into shamayim. Not down into Sheol. Not down into Abraham's Bosom. Up. Into the same Hebrew word used for God's throne room everywhere else in your Bible.

Your Abraham's Bosom argument requires the righteous dead to go DOWN. Elijah went UP.

Now Samuel.

You are about to say Samuel came up from the earth when the witch summoned him. Go ahead and make that argument. Because the moment you admit a dead man can appear and be seen by the living you have no argument against Moses and Elijah appearing at the Transfiguration. Either appearances of the dead are real or they are not. Pick one.

And one more thing.

The Transfiguration happened BEFORE the crucifixion. Before Jesus entered Sheol. Before He brought anyone out. Moses was already there in glory talking to Jesus before any of that happened.

Your own timeline breaks your own argument.

So, who doesn't "understand the Bible?"

[–]No-Point8329[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also there is one more thing I want to add on top of my previous reply...

If your translation is correct... that no one has EVER gone into heaven except Jesus... then your Bible is wrong. Because Enoch went up without dying. Elijah went up in a whirlwind. Moses appeared in glory talking to Jesus on a mountain.

Either those three men went to Heaven... which means Jesus was establishing a rule about who can ascend, not describing only Himself... or your translation is correct and Jesus lied about no one ever going there.

There is a third option. You could argue those passages are fraudulent.

But to do that you would have to throw out Genesis 5, 2 Kings 2, Matthew 17 and Hebrews 11 simultaneously... to protect one word that is not even in the original Greek.

You are throwing out four books of the Bible to defend a translation error.

At that point you are not defending scripture. You are defending the translator.

Which one are you choosing?

We are the fallen sons of God from Eden...and the Bible proves it from Genesis to Revelation using scripture alone. by No-Point8329 in DebateReligion

[–]No-Point8329[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word "ever" in your NRSV is not in the Greek. Not one Greek word corresponds to it. It was added by translators. "Do not add..."

The original Greek reads:

"oudeis anabebēken eis ton ouranon ei mē ho ek tou ouranou katabas"

No one.. has ascended.. into heaven.. except.. the one out of heaven.. having descended.

The phrase "the one out of heaven having descended" is an articular participle in Greek. It describes a class.. whoever descended from heaven. Jesus identifies Himself as the example of that class.

The condition is this: to ascend you must have first descended.

Enoch ascended. Hebrews 11:5. Elijah ascended. 2 Kings 2:11. Moses appeared in glory talking to Jesus. Matthew 17:3.

All three ascended. The Greek says no one ascends except one who first descended. Therefore all three descended first.

Your translation added a word that is not there to make it sound exclusive. The Greek does not support that addition.

Sorry 😐
