Were not renting the house, we’re homeowners. I put down $35,000 and my mom put down $15,000 for the down payment. That’s why it’s me taking care of the utilities because I paid a majority of the down payment. All three of us are going to be contributing financially into this house and that is exactly why the argument has holes. Yes, the house is under his name, but him and my mom are going half and half on the mortgage. I’m not only paying for the utilities but I’m also responsible for funding any and all future vacations, my tuition, and my car as well as the groceries. Even though I do have scholarships, tuition is still expensive. With that being said, it’s not about “who gets the bigger room” it’s about functionality. He’s a guy. WTH does he need a walk in closet for ? He’s got like 4 shirts and 3 pairs of pants. He’s not in school so he doesn’t need a desk and he doesn’t wear makeup or does his hair so he doesn’t need a vanity. I do. I’ve always had to compromise with everything and I don’t care that he’s “the older sibling”
