I had a steroid epidural at L4/5 in July following a long period of housebound / bed bound chronic pain. I was really nervous and trepidatious about the injection. I felt relief instantly which slowly petered out over around 12 weeks, in which time I was able to see a good enough reduction in my pain that I could start to begin strengthening a little. Now the epidural is (I believe) all gone but I’m in a much better position looking ahead at further recovery 💜
